Update:

Still waiting for the guy from the machine shop. He's doing this for me on the side since the shop charges by hour. I will be meeting up with him on either monday or sunday this upcoming week, it should only take a day. I'm almost done sleeving the psu. I'm really not enjoying sleeving the darn thing, but it does look a little better. The two gpu pins, and 24 pin connectors are finished. i still have the 8 pin pwr connector to do, and some of the molex and sata pwr cables to sleeve. Hopefully those are a little easier.

Update:

The rad bracket and res bracket are done! Finally, i will take pictures thursday. I'm actually getting the rad brackets anodized black so it blends in a little better. I would get them powder coated, but the shop I usually go to will take a week. So getting it anodized tomorrow and picking it up the following day, and i'm getting it done for free! It is very possible that this rig will be up and running by this weekend. Stay tuned!

This is my progress and where I stand right now. All I have to do now is finish the plumbing, and finish up that last bit of the psu sleeving. I should be able to leak test it this weekend. Enjoy the pics!

Sorry guys project canceled. Too many issues came up with the build. 7/16" tubing is an absolute disappointment, it kinks way to easy and is extremely hard to put on 1/2" fittings so not worth the trouble. And the angle fittings I ordered a few months back don't fit right on the reservoir. I would have to order 1/2" tubing and new angle fittings which by the time I order that and it arrives here I'll be out of town. And I'll be gone for 2 months for work related reasons. I'll have to finish when I get back. I'll post picks when its done 2 months from now.

Old thread revived. I'm currently water loop testing right now. Its about 4hrs into it, and will be posting picks when rig is done this week. Its coming along nicely now, I had a few issues since then and they're slowly getting worked out. Stay tuned!!

Yes... Will the handles be ok for the weight? If it's like my Rooster build it will be about 80lbs lol.

I've had to move the computer several times, and I have had no issues. Then again though my computer isn't 80lbs.

Heres a couple of pics for now. I'm still doing the wire management which is really rough in a case of this size. It should be able to all fit though. I haven't made too much progress since my leak test, borderlands for the 360 is really addictive. You'll also notice that the reservoir is just sitting there. The bracket that held it up straight broke (my fault :(). I'm gonna call the machine shop and have them make me two more.

I actually didn't see the machine shop cut the window. I'm assuming that they might of used a bandsaw or some other type of precision cutting tool. The powder coating portion for the window is pretty simple. You just have to unscrew the little metal support beams that go around the perimeter of the inside portion of the panel. I just had to tell the powder coaters to plug the screw holes when powder coating. The window is a bolt on so theres no issue with getting anything on it. Did that answer your question?

Heres the pics of it in completion. I assure you the computer does work, its off because it has a pressure leak on the reservoir. It only leaks right when I turn it on or off, and after that it stops leaking. It might be a bad reservoir. Plus I have to fix the power switch, I think I just have the connectors on the board backwards. I used the power switch built onto the motherboard and it started up first try. Its a rather quiet computer as well. I just have small issues to work out and it should be good for testing. You'll notice in the pics that I upgraded the power supply to a pc p&c 910 instead of the 750. Plus i'm using a xeon chip now and not the 920. I tested the temps in the bios for about an hour. The cpu idles at 35c, chipset 48c, and system temp 32c. Temps are pretty good it seems.

Anyone know if my reservoir leak is fixable?

Great Powder Coating job. Not sure on your reservoir - is it leaking at the barbs, or where the black parts go onto the acrylic?

Good job on your cable management - is there anyway to run the cables near the top of the motherboard all the way to the top of the case, then back down to connect? That would make it look even cleaner.

The reservoir is leaking for sure, its the bottom portion where the acrylic and derlin meet. And as for the wire management, there really isn't any other way to run the cables. This psu has alot of cables, it just looks messy because of the bottom chamber is exposed. But if you just forcus where the motherboard is, its actually very tidy. Alot for the cables are actually ran up the front bay through the hdd brackets. The other ones are actually ran behind the the motherboard tray. That is the one flaw about this case, is that its not very cable management friendly unless you go modular.

I'm not too worried about the leak right now because it only leaks temporary. I'm still going to proceed to setup the computer. And when I get more time I'll rebuild the water loop. I'm pretty sure I just have to replace the reservoir. I've heard about ek reservoirs having leaking problems.

And as a future reference, I may have trouble upgrading the gpu. There really isn't much space between the hdd bay and the gpu as is. Assuming gt300 is longer I will have issues. The only option I'll have at that point is swaping the optical and hdd which should free up about an inch. Oh well time will tell, but I'll figure out a way.

I see ... I know the V1000 is a tough case for cable management. But, it is one of the best looking mid-sized towers out there. You've done a good job with it.

About the res, I'd see if you can do an RMA on it - sounds like something isn't right. And, I'm sure you are taking precautions when starting / stopping it - looks like it's a little close to your components. Any way to lengthen that top tube and have the res sit on the midplate (maybe something to consider the next time you redo your loop).

I have an extra ek bottom that I could put on there. It maybe the seal on the current one. Or maybe I need to tighten it even more. I don't know, I guess i'll have to wait and see. It could be because I have air in the loop still. Maybe once it completely purges it will stop leaking?
