Thanks, you have really helped. One last question, if you don't mind. In general, can I always attach a sound card to a motherboard if it has the available slot? The D12X says you have to use an MIO sound card, but couldn't I just attach a sound card to another slot? e.g. PCIe or PCIX?Quote:

oh, an Asus proprietary standard... go figure. Doesnt seem to be pin compatible with PCI-E 1x according to some info on google, but I cant find a pinout for it to actually see so... :(
yes, you can use a normal soundcard in any other slot, just not the MIO slot.
