You guys should try this Gigabyte, and while your at it tell me how to get more mem voltage out of this POS:D
Tomorrow I'll hook up a resister to the OVP pin and get some more v-core, it kicks off at 2.11V. I'm gunna do some 3D at 2800MHz if the OVP mod works and if my memory can handle it with 2.89V-2.95V fluctuating:D

I guarantee you this chip I have can do upwards of 2.9ghz on a NF3 mb. I hit 2.8ghz at 1.75v. I'm about :sick: of the agp/pci issues. I haven't had this much frustration in OCing since the KT133a
It was pain to get use to but I have it wired now. Biggest problem is the mem voltage, plan on useing 5:4, but at 280 your mem does 232MHz already so it's getting close to haveing to lower the timings.
This is the only mobo I've tryed so I don't know, I do know I'm seeing what everyone else is getting with other boards and it doesn't look all that great, except for macci as usual:D
Sounds like a great chip Major, hope it does the same on a different mobo.

The only place I even see 600fps is Drag low, never in car !! :D
I did the reg tweak, I don't know what else to try really. I'm through benching until I get a different mb or agp fix.

crank up +3.3V rail to 3.6V or so and you'll get around 3.05 v-dimm:D i saw your screenie the other day and noticed you're only at 3.28v @ +3,3v :eek: that's unacceptable my friend:D Also, you bench at 2.5x LDT i take it?
If you take it out of hex and click decimal, you can enter in the number 1024 for 1mb of cache. But, 400 is correct, either way works. It does nothing for 3DMark though.Quote:

Yeah I meant decimal. SecondLevelDataCache = 1024 in decimal will do the same thing as 400 in hex.

I ordered a Gigabyte K8N-pro yesturday and it should be here before Friday. So maybe with this chip I can bench at over 2.8ghz ? at the very least I wont have to deal with the agp/pci issues ! lol
Jason I'm about out of cash ! this might be my last upgrade for a while ! ;)
I've got a 2.8c coming from Intel and P4C800 that still hasn't made it back from rma so I'll have something to play with on the Intel front again in a week or so.
