Thanks, rootz0r - the rotaries make it pretty easy to do the loops.
An update ... almost done, but still some cable management and a few little problems:
Just some quick snaps ... my husband is yelling at me to get the Christmas tree decorated, then off to visit the Grandkids for the weekend.
The GPU loop:

The CPU loop side (oops ... what's that fan extender doing in the right hand corner - the only one that's not sleeved, of course :p: ) :

One of the "problems" -- I've drained and cleaned the CPU loop about 6 times, still can't get rid of the cloudiness and residue. Don't want to take out the PA 120.3 rad to reclean (it was cleaned the same way as the GPU loop). Have a Pentek filter kit on order to see if that will help.

Here's the NB res ... clear as a bell, as is the GPU loop res (oops, how did those molex cables come out of their hiding place?)

Hope to finish up next week. Still trying to figure out what to do with the front panel grills (the one thing I don't like about MM cases). Amazing how taking a photo shows so many little things yet to fix
Thanks for looking ... your comments keep me tweaking.
Beautiful work Shazza. After looking at your case, I think im gonna get the same exact one for when I build an i7 rig. Looks awesome
Looks great Shazza!
You've done a fantastic job. :)
Thanks ... It's a very easy case to work with. I especially like the Horizontal motherboard config.
Appreciate the kind words, Charles. Although, I was doing a bit of swearing as I was trying to sleeve my PSU cables with the lovely murderMod PSYCHOPAC (what an apt name!!!). I'd love to have a murderbox ... but I'm looking for a silver version for my next case.
your commentary on the pics cracked me up!
Overall, excellent build...congrats on another well planned and great looking rig!
Shazza: Very nice system and worklog. Very nice athmosphere here!
It gets better and better :D
I love the tri-colored tubing :)
Thanks, skinnee -- I always see stuff that's wrong when I take a pic, but in the end it helps me do better.
Thank you for stopping in and taking the time to comment. I admire your work very much.
I'm glad you like the tubing. I was going to do all black, but then figured I'd confuse myself since I ended up doing the triple loops ;) This build was never meant to get this complex, but I always get inspired/shamed into doing more when I read what all the creative folks here are doing.
Yeah I'm thinking of cheating and using blue and black tubing on 1 loop.
Just to throw people off, :p:
Quite a well thought out and beautifully designed/implemented build.
hehe, sleeving can be frustrating at times. I find getting in a "zone" helps. Put on your favorite music and find a comfy chair. As for the name, well, one has to be a bit crazy to want to sleeve an entire PSU. :yepp:
As for the silver case - have you considered white? We're preparing to offer a "special edition" white version of our TJ07. I'll post pics when it's finished. :)
Yeah ... I had to get in the zone to do the PSU sleeving ... I found a nice glass of wine helped take the edge off ;)
I'm sure the white case will be beautiful, but I'm really looking for a nice silver case ... I like everything to match :) and I need silver to match my monitor and printer.
@dingdong ... I'm still working on those dust bunnies, and also plan to set up for a "real" photo shoot this week. Wish me luck.
Damn you Shazza!
I've been coming back and looking at this thread every day for a week now. Every day admiring your build. Every day imagining it sitting on my desk...
Really such a beautiful build I couldn't help myself but to order a bunch of parts I don't need including several hundred dollars worth of the damn BP fittings (why are they so expensive?) and some new MM panels for my case.
Anyway, coming soon - Project: copy Shazza :D
... You'll do much better sonofander!Quote:

Well it's Christmas Day here - and Best Wishes to all (whether you are celebrating Christmas, or just happy to be alive another day), and what could be more fun than finishing up my little build. It's 95% done, but I'll be away for a couple of weeks, so will have to take my final pics next month. Here's a few for now:
Got that pesky residue out of my CPU loop and reservoir ... had to resort to the old fashioned way. Took out the top PA 120.3 and rinsed it for a couple of hours. You can also see my nifty drain port at the bottom of the Q-fitting The bubbles will fade away in a day or two.

Can't finish up without a pic of my most important purchase/tool: 99 cents at Walgreens ... best funnel possible for filling the XSPC res's in this case.

Just a shot I like, even tho you've seen this same angle 10 times already...
http://shazza53.smugmug.com/photos/4...03_SD6G5-L.jpg
And a sneak peak at the front ... for now ... trying to come up with something that is not too ugly. I have a couple of Iandh's Thermochill Rad grills, but the fan filters I have don't look good. If you've got any ideas on how to dress up the front of a MM case, let me know please.

Again, thanks for looking. I never would have come this far with this build had it not been for the encouragement provided here.
excellent work shazza!!!
walgreens for the funnel eh? I'll stop there tomorrow, thanks for the info!
I think I may take a cue from you shazza and put a dual light setup in my build, one white & one UV :D
great work
Have been readin this log but i surely missed the "modest" part.Great work!
Shaz we should get that case painted ;)
That's a lovely build. I like all your aesthetic details. I have had the same problems with PA rad clouding up my loops even after hot water rinses...the flux they use is from HELL. Glad you got it all dialed in as you like. Merry Christmas.
Very nice once again Shazza!
I agree, something needs to be done to the case front to bring it to life. Beats me though, hopefully others have some ideas. LED fans perhaps?
Thanks guys. I surely do appreciate the kind words, especially since I admire the work you all do.
@Darthbeavis ... this one has to stay boring black. I'm sharing the den with my husband, so that's why no LED fans, etc. Gotta figure something out for the front, though. Tried just the basic black grills, but looks very unfinished. Dunno... My next water build is gonna be bright and cheerful ... thinking a tropical theme, or maybe Hello Kitty :p:
I should also add that I'm pleased with performance so far ... good temps, very quiet, and so far solid. Can't wait to get some time for some OC.
Here are a few more pics ... just playing around in Lightroom. Finding it very difficult to get decent pics of the case due to the black finish, and the reflections when the windows are on:
