LMAO
At this rate it's only a matter of time before our cases are the sizes of refrigerators. I got a Ascension and it's half the size of my lazyboy for god sakes.

Don't make me buy two more extended Ascensions and weld them together! :D
The way my system is now, it's already gonna create a Supermassive Black Hole when I boot it up. :D
I am surprised how many of you guys judge a upcoming product based on some pictures of an early prototype that have been leaked. I recently made a radiator roundup with rads from Thermochill, Hwlabs. TFC and others and the Xchanger 480 showed the most impressive delta I have ever seen. The Xchanger 360 was slightly worse than a PA120.3 at low fan speed, high fan speed showed identical water temperatures.
I will be getting the radiator shown in the pictures next week to compare it to a Mo-Ra 2 Pro and other huge radiators. I don't know about you guys, but I buy a radiator based on performance numbers, not thickness or looks. Though I have to admit, that I like the carbon side panels a lot. Oh, and it is real carbon, not some fake, fyi.
People that are worried about whether their fans will be strong enough for the monsta should probably take a loke at the Triebwerk from TFC: http://www.pcgameshardware.de/aid,66...diatorluefter/
I will post the results of my testing right after I am done with the latest issue of PC Games Hardware Extreme. Until then, don't get mad about some pictures ;) It would have been boring if the monsta was another Black Ice GTX/PA/Xchanger look-a-like, wouldn't it? =)
Who's mad?
I laughed.
I can already hear the tecno-Marlboro man saying "M-m-m-monsta!"
Nice big fans they have there.
However, I stand by my statement. Finding fans with enough static pressure and flow to get through that with what is currently available is gonna be hell. When the Triebework comes out, that may solve the problem right there. Until the, 140mm fans aren't really hardcore, and the really hardcore 120mm fans are both expensive and jet engines.
Do I think it's a good idea? Yes, this coming from the person with 12 120s worth of rad in his setup. I simply wonder if the rest of the industry is set up to deal with it. Cases, fans, possibly even some pumps-I'd love a flow path on this beeyotch. Don't misinterpret what I said-I want this to come to market. I want there to be continued innovation, and hopefully some of it will even be mine. However, to look at a product, look at what is available and say "I'm not sure we can use this right yet" isn't bashing, but rather prudent caution.
In short, let this get to market, with its fans, and then we'll see.
Till then, I'm gonna go hug my GTX480 some more.
the fans are amazing the first sample was made last week, and looks really promising :D i cant wait
That rad is quite rad, oh haha its a pun, god I kill myself!:D

GFB1212HW 120mmx120mmx76mm counter-rotating 12v 17w 183CFM
QFR1212EHE 120mmx120mmx38mm 12v 12w 173CFM
If you look carefully, it does look like there's two radiators sandwitched together, (there's a centre column separating the fins), probably rigged to the same flow...
I dig the side panels. Makes it much easier to mount on the side because of the pre-drilled screw holes
Between the Monsta's physical size and the size fans you'll need to move enough static pressure, it may require a new Monsta™ case to go with it. :)
Damn though, I'll be watching for the results of this bad boy regardless.
yeah, results are going to be important with this thing.
I wonder how these undervolt :D : http://db.sanyodenki.co.jp/product_d...master_id=2514
i bet those fans are going to cost like $45 a piece...
that and i bet the monsta is going to be close to a $200 rad
exciting and all until i think about whats in my wallet
Nice. Look forward to some results.
I would bet that stacked Swiftechs would be 3/5 the size, 5/8 the price and at least equal the performance.
I'm looking forward to seeing this tested, mainly against the TFC 480
Papdom me...
The reason for soon changing my zalman 9500 for d-tek fusion v2 is less noise production and better cooling. The size of the my system doesn't realy matters. As long as it works as quite as a notebook. And using fans with 76 mm thickness is sickness :) even if they are undervolted. I've heard the noise thej produse, it is similar to drill machine working near you.
About the rad: yes it humongous... But with it , I think, it is possible to go absolutly passive...the other question is the amount of blocks in the rig that can be cooled with this "Monsta" passivly.
And by the way does anyone heard about the price of the rad? How can it be compared with Mora 2 core/pro?
The only thing I could think to do when seeing this rad is laugh... so... hahahahah :)
I think it might fit my Lian-Li A70 full tower hmm......

LOL it's a monsta!
