Try adjusting the options. Disable hybrid sleep and see if regular sleep mode works. If that doesn't help try going into BIOS and changing the ACPI option to S1 (I think it's auto by default). Overclocked systems and S3 sleep mode is a somewhat common problem.
Well I will be damned. S1 worked. But the only problem now is all the fans stay on and at 100%.
What voltage are you giving the CPU? Try setting the CPU to stock speed/stock volts and try seeing if S3 sleep works then.
Hi guys well the 3.1ghz 24/7 setup runs sweet .I'am trying 3.2ghz now the only draw back i can see right now is i need 1.5v for the cpu to run prime95. I'am running prime95 as i post this , OS vista-64, 3.2ghz@1.5v ,HT link@1.26v, NB@1.860v (foxconn not the same as ASUS for NB volts) ,Memory Patriot PCS-8500EL 1066 5-5-5-15-30 2.1v.
Did you see if you could come out of sleep @ 3.2ghz without a BSOD?
Back on my old DFI board sleep and my 9850 was not a good thing but i try it tomarow when i get home from work
Well i try it before i when to work after every thing gose to sleep the PC will power back up but the my LCD will not come back on . Than i had to screw around with the thing to get back out of sleep (had to trun off the power off with PS swicth) it dosen't look
like sleep and overclock Phemon work that well . I saw the same type of thing on my old DFI board when using sleep .
Same thing happend to me. Somtimes I boot and it doesnt reconize my keyboard. To fix the sleep issue I just use hibernate. That works and it works good.
I sometimes have a problem with mouse/keyboard... but I don't know if it is the motherboard, CPU, Vista or just Tuesday.
But I use a USB switch to use these on two different computers and it usually only has problems when I'm switching back and forth.
(It works fine 95% of the time. But that other 5% requires a reboot.)
I have been talking to foxconn about these issues. They like to blame it on my ram . I tryed 2 different sets and they both worked without issue. My new ram is great, Passes all night of memtest. Sounds like they just want to be lazy and blame it on my system instead of fixing the issue.
Just curious what do you folks think of this board now that you've had it for awhile?
I'm only asking because NewEgg has it for $135 with a $40 rebate and I need a new toy! :p:
Well i like mine , there a bug in the bios when using EPP setting for the memory . I reported to foxconn waiting to see if we get a bios up-date to fix it.I also ask about when we get a bois up-date for the new Phenom 2 cpus they said they ask there cpus testing team and e-mail me awnser still not hear back from them on that .I did that on monday of this week . The last thing for me is the onboard sound it sound good but when i install the Realtek driver it tells windows that my rear speaker of my 5.1 are side speakers and screw up the sound . Windows by it self get right but the realtek drivers do sound better than the windows only drivers. I stop mess around with it and just put my X-Fi sound card in . On overclocking i'am running 3.211 ghz 24/7 prime95 stable using vista-64 home basic. It takes 1.53v for my 9850 to do it but i got my 9850 in the first week they came out so the chip is more than likely a so-so chip .Also the 24/7 overclock i'am 2470 mhz for the NB + HT link speed trouble free .I have score over 18000 + points in 3dmark-06 and 11600 in vantage using HIS 3850 video cards on this mother board i realy don't think there much more i could have ask for from this board . The best part i'am in the top 5 in the 3dmark-06 score thread and i'am using a mother board and video card set-up no one else is using + it NOT a Asus 79-t rig . (go Foxconn)
Thanks merkk1,
I may very well pick one up! You can't beat the price... :D
in the uk one of the few places that has it is £205, thats what, $300, wtf is going on with foxcon prices in the uk :( dfi for me i guess.
I have the same problems with keyboard, lets hope they fix in next bios
At the price they are selling them out at new egg right now it hard to beat http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813186149 Also if you want to run two 4870x2 in 16x16 PCIe this board has the best layout .In the new egg reviews people cry about the spacing of the 16x16 slots but on this board you will have a air gap between the 2 video card for better cooling of the video cards when running 16x16 PCIe . The Asus 79-t when running 16x16 PCIe the cards sit back to back to each other not that smart if you ask me . The memory when running 2 stick in dual channel one stick go in one bank the other in the sec bank over once again making a big air gap between the 2 stick of memory for better cooling . Just a couple thing more to think about when getting this board .
$135 for the board? That is a steal, seeing as how I missed the $100 price tag on ZZF a month ago it might finally time to get one and but my DFI w/SB600 to rest and pop in a P2 when they come out. Thanks for the heads up on the pricing merkk1! :)
Thxs but the Head-up on the pricing realy gose to DaveBurt714 .
PS i seen other people say the same thing trouble with USB key board ,I'am using one but it work fine with mine that why i didn't list it as a trouble
item .
Yeah I'm going to get one ordered in tomorrow as it's payday! And well free shipping is just icing on the cake. Time to start backing up my data and to find my OS install CD and get ready to see if I can get my tired old 9600BE to do a few tricks. ;)
Honestly, all things considered, if I had to do things over I think I would have sprung the extra money for the DFI or Asus board. The Foxconn works ok for the most part but the BIOS is really bare bones and support is non-existant. Going through the Asus and DFI threads I see all the BIOS updates they are getting and I get the feeling Foxconn just doesn't care about the owners of this board........
