haha, theyre at newegg. :toast:
Thanks taco! :toast:
yeah, I saw the one at NewEgg but I wasn't sure because the pic posted here (first page) it's brown and NewEgg shows it green. Are you sure they're the same steppings?

Aaah, I got my new 1.4 now :). Just started to post here and some other places. Im running @ 166x11 with 1.5 vcore right now, gonna test higher now...
Has someone tried with the 1.6?
Tried a 1.6 and had it running 2.41GHz at 1.95v with a SLK800a and 7v Tornado(which is actually pretty quiet) in about 20 minutes. ;)
I didn't try any higher but it seemed to do that without breaking a swet really. I would have liked to try it under some water but I had to ship it out in a system I was doing.
Wouldnt happen to remember the stepping, would you Jeff?
For the Duron1600, MIXHB0331 was the only thing I wrote down.
I just got mine from NewEgg and as usual I got screwed... :cussing:
They sent me a MIRGA0337VPMW
/edit: I didn't mean NewEgg screwed me, I was talking about my freaking luck... :brick:
oh wow, that sucks eq..
i hope to gawd i dont get an A stepping.
Like I said.. MP + cache bridge mods and sell them as 1900+ MPs to local people for good prices (for a mp ;))
//edit: "them" being applebred "A"s.
I asked for an exchange already so hopefully I'll get a newer one next time around...
Well, my testing temporarily ends right now due to lack of cooling... It started swetting 4 real @ 166x12.5 with 1.65v... MIUHB stepping...
Yeah nice Oc all with this :) Put it some Prometia and tested it ???:D mabe 2.8-2.9Ghz with good stepping
I'll some to your house with my cpu and my frineds nf7-s 2.0 then ;)
she just arrived :) stepping is MIUHB 0336VPMW
bbl with results :D
Give use some results! :) I think you will end @ 2500Mhz.... Most MIUHB's will end there with watercoolingQuote:

I don't know how you guys do it.
I just received the replacement chip and they sent me a MIRGA again.... :brick:
so far, priming at 12x200 at 1.75v :D not too bad. this is what a slk-947u and a extremely quiet 92mm fan.
im using the 19 bios, im not sure if thats the best to use for fsb overclocking, i have the hacked d10 bios sitting here.. would it be worth a go?
also the power supply i got is giving me some pretty low rails on the 12v (11.55 under load) its a sparkle 400w. its got 5 pots in it, but im not sure which is to adjust which..
so far so good, but theres definitely more.. :toast:
sry about not posting a screenshot.. here you go, prime 95 stable at 2.4ghz on aircooling (slk-947u) :toast:
now if i could only find the cache mod for this kind of duron..

Just fill the L2 bridge with conductive paint. Not really much to do. Like I said in the PM, I just scratch a tiny bit off the laser cut to make sure the conductive paint makes contact with both sides of the cut. I don't think you need to do this step but I do it. ;)
Here's a post with a picture:
http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...798#post241798
(I realize yours is the new package, but the L2 is basically the same)
ok heres a picture of the new package duron :

vs
http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...&postid=241798
also you notice the brown one has the first L2 bridge cut. the green one that i have has all the gaps closed but the last one. and if you look closely it looks like the L2 bridges and the L9 bridges are one, from the little gold dot. theres only 1 in between them.
there has to be a pin mod out there somewhere..
You have the one in the first picture right? Just fill the last L2 "gap" (ie laser cut) with conductive paint. Don't worry about the "dots" that are hidden under the package now. Like I said, I scrap a tiny, tiny bit off the "gap" and fill it with conductive paint. (btw, I use a small magnifying glass when I do mine)
ya, i give the L2 mod a try. filled the gap in with some as3, didnt work. i thought i did it quite good too.. still looking for a pin mod for the cache mod, if there is one. if anyone knows id really appreciate the info.. :toast:
heres an update, this was a quick run to see how high it could go. was able to get some small benches in.. ;) 1.9vcore
