Nice pics and glad we have results. Now am I the only one that thinks this is a made by ViperJohn block? It would have been nice if ViperJohn put his name on these directly. Nice block nonetheless and thanks to Swiftech for their help in getting it to market. Looking forward to getting mine.
Installed my MCW-NBMAX today and just put it into operation. The install was easy with the block fitting like a glove. The allen wrench was a little small for the bolts so I used a metric one of my own. I didn't have time to get proper lighting for these pics so please overlook it.

I have mine mounted but temps are still bad due to the nature of the cr@ppy heatpipe, despite the nylon washers.
The block fits nicely but i needed the extra o-rings that came with the swiftech barbs to stop it from leaking.
Like metioned the allan wrench seemed a tad too small :shrug: and the Swiftech logo was mounted upside down, lol.
It's a nice looking block that have to keep me over till the Bitspower block comes out.
Direct contact is sooo much better than this heatpipe
I used my Trusty 478x9 Bootup and then Ran XFired HD4870s OC'd to 865/1075.
Only got a 3DMark06 Score of 23,421. I noticed XFire helps more in the SM 2.0 tests than it did in the SM 3.0 test. You get 20% more in SM 2.0 and 12% more in SM 3.0 test.
If any geniuses out there now how to up the SM 3.0 XFire performance please chime in.

Simplicity in design may indeed give such impression, but this block is 100% my baby. If John, who is a long time and personal friend of mine had designed something for us, I would have been honored to give him credit, like we always do whenever we use 3rd party IP.Quote:

I know this is an incredibly old thread, but I came across it doing a search on google for the MCW-NBMAX water block.
Can anyone comment on whether they were actually able to get a better overclock out of their system using this? . . . I always got the impression that northbridge waterblocks never actually affect the overclock that is ultimately achieved.
I have been using it from day one and I run 4250 24/7 on my E8600. Temps are better than when it was stock. It's a better block than the OEM because of the fittings. The OEM sucked.

Problem with this block is that it just replaces the original wb that asus puts on their boards.Quote:

I watercooled the NB because the X48 chipset was quite hot and i wanted 600 FSB at Perfomance Level 8 out of it (meaning lots of volts) so dicided to watercool it.

I can confirm that the EnzoTech 1/2" ID 3/4" OD Compression fittings are also too broad for the holes on the MCW-NBMAX. Although they sit closer than the Feser ones did. I will be looking into a 45 for the second port as well.
