but it wont change to any acid, carbon, gelly and other stuff like that ? :D
im asking beacause i cant find what kind of oil uses my compressor (its for R22) so i suppose its mineral oil or POE (dunno if other oils are compatabile ^^
use poe then.
Guess i wont get a clear answer is mineral oil compatabile with R23 :|
anyway, if im supossed to change the oil- how to get rid of the oil out of a a/c compressor
http://www.berkut.neostrada.pl/4/5.jpg
Palce it on its side so the oil can flow to the accumulator and later upside down so it dripps out of the accumulator or simply place it upside down so it leaks through the discharge line
oil will flow out of suction, on yer oil return. i dont know if its completely compatable, but i wouldnt use it.
R23 is not compatible with mineral oil. It needs POE oil.
I would disconnect the accumulator and dump the oil out of the suction tube. Also dump any oil that is in the accumulator, and oil separator if you have one. Dump it all into a measuring container and replace with the same amount.
Oil will not dump out of the discharge tube.
mission complete! now stable, and happy at -80c and as cold as -87c thus far

more to come. goin back to work now
oh and heres a pic of the oil seporators on a auto cascade. they insulate them to keep them from working as phase seporators

Revcos got a pic in there engineering department of me with one of those strapped to my back lick a jettpack, and lying on a table like im flying lol
Nice pics Capt,
Do you have any way to resize them a little smaller so we don't have to scroll to see them?
If you don't, I could resize them to fit the page for you if you want?
Nice to see you posting some cool pics in here again. I'm really happy that you stuck around and joined our crazy super cooling clan! You've proved to be a valuable asset:D

The beast is lurking...........pics tonight!
Be afraid...... Be very afraid.

heres a clue.:toast: :) :D
Ewwwwwww... Look at all that ugly white stuff at the bottom left. For shame... LOL
i wish i could show u all the piping gary, but aparently i got some competition.
the piping on this system in nothing short of art, i asure you.
i havent started insulating yet. that was leftovers
hey thanks MickeyMouse...I was trying to host them for him, but I haven't gotten webspace sorted yet. The space I get with my isp is only 5mbs...I used that up PDQ with my own pics. ;)
ok screw it theres nothin to special to it.
My original intention was to make a -130c 3 stage, but OP said that it may be to cold and wanted to test with a standard -80 cascade. I had already began makeing the 3 stage so i just piped the 3rd stage in series with the second, creating a 2 stage system with 2 1hp compressors powering the second. This alows me to have to different settings: -90c or -110c. 1 compressor for second and 2 compressor for second. Hi and low,:D
more.
pretty piping a?
oh and mickey thats a wierd oem model compressor made for revco, we got pallets of em. thanks for resizing all those pics it looks really good. i think i got it down now? maybe?
Isnt she beutiful.:) :)
Nice Cap'n
Xtremely....well... Xtreme!!
