A single core may benefit more from the nozzles than I could find with the conroe core, but in the end I'm afraid nozzle gains are likely pretty small and hard to measure even with 5 mounts.

I would just try the block out stock, but make sure you run some sort of anticorrsion addative, I believe the Exos uses an aluminum radiator (or so I've heard), so you'll have a mixed metal loop.

Best way to cool is adequate flow (more is better, but at least 1gpm) and plenty of radiator to dissipate all that heat. Pressure is just a measurement of energy. The charts were showing pressure drop which is just showing how restrictive the different nozzles are, less restriction means you'll have more flow rates.:up:

I saw a test of the v2 with and without the nozzle, on a certain cpu, and temps didn't even improve with the nozzle... so even without nozzles it still has killer performance :up:
I already swapped out my EK Supreme for a FuZion v1 2 months ago and I see 3c better temps, now I'm contemplating another upgrade, the v2 :)

Scythe 120MM Ultra Kaze 3000RPM (x2) for modding the EXOS II fan (higher flow) (yes those are 38mm thick, but have 2x home made Fan ducts)
Arctic cooling MX2 tim paste

Are those good fan for cooling the alu rad? (i think to get good air flow)

This is one reason I'm confused about nozzles. I've seen a couple of people try to measure differences using an actual processor core to do so (which is what I did) and havn't really seen anything to show definitively what if any gains there are using nozzles. V1 was different because the washer included in the nozzle kit clearly has some improvement and most people went from stock to washer plus nozzle.

vkbms however has been testing with an E8500 with a thermistor mounted to the base of the processor and has measure gains all the way down to the 3.5mm nozzle.

ZoLKoRn did this test with processor temps and a whole bunch of nozzles with EK plates as well as fuzion nozzles and in the end also did not really show any performance gain with the nozzles.

So there is two testing methods giving different results. The actual processor internal sensors don't seem to indicate any gain, but using an external sensor under the processor shows a 3.5mm nozzle working the best. The internal sensors are pretty crappy, but they are in the best locations to get the most accurate results of actual core temps.

I don't know, I plan to do some more experimenting when I get my quad core system up and running, but nozzles are questionable from what I can gather. The washer is a must have for V1, and I suspect the new quad midplate may be the best for quads, but otherwise there just hasn't been any consistency in showing nozzles are good.

So far it's been mostly just people jumping on board because of rumor and nozzles sound like they would work. I haven't seen enough to really recommend anything other than stock at this point, though it never hurts to experiment..;)

Am I the only one that loves the new design and mounting method more than the temp improvements? :D

Somebody know where to buy screws for the fuzion block (the small one to fix the block) ?
I've seen that somewhere , but impossible to remember where exactly.

Just buy the pro mount, it's included.

I would say the screws to fix the copper base to the delrin top.

I know what you are talking about, it's in the pro mount (include 4 philips screws to replace the hex ones).

The allen wrench that comes with the v2 is too small, what's the proper size for removing the allen screws?

About 2.2mm...oh wait, there is no such size!!...lol!

My only real gripe about the block. A 2mm will fit, but it's very loose and will strip with not much force, be very careful...

Nice, they must be smoking some good stuff over at D-tek to come up with something like that.

I actually got them out with a 5/64 allen wrench, but it definitely doesn't fit perfectly, fits better than the one they shipped with it though.

Whatever, D-tek is ultimately responsible for QC on their own products, and this is a pretty big oversight.

LOL... hate to repost a question asked throughout the thread... any quad temp results (preferably a 9450 :clap: ) with and without the mid-chamber insert? Part of me says it makes no difference. The other part says they wouldn't make it if it didn't. :rolleyes: I'm upgrading a v1 no nozzles with a v2 this weekend. I'm still debating as whether to use the insert.:)

I receive the quick mount kit and the screws don't feet with the V2.
if somebody else know where to find this damned screws ....

Way cool on the dual core test, not enough of them, so many people do quads.

I currently have the Swiftech Apogee GTX CU Extreme. I heard a lot of good about the v1 D-Tech so I can only imagine the new v2. Will you be testing any Apogee for those of us thinking or wanting a reason to change over? Any plans to include other top models like from ThermalRight? Oh ja, I own that old Danger-Dan RBX (tripple) so I would totally like to see how it keeps up w/ the game for a 5 yo block.

I just spent the last week getting my new quad core system up and running, and finally up last night. I still have some pump top testing and radiator testing to catch up on, by then I'll have my overclock all figured out. Anyhow, the new DFI LTX48 is a dream to run, it's an extremely nice board..:up: The most stable board I've used and puts my old 680i to shame. I can't believe how rock solid stable the CPU vcore is, it doesn't hardly even budge from idle to full load.:yepp:

I don't have any regular apogee blocks, but I do have an Apogee drive I plan to fully test (courtesy of NCIX). It actually has really good distributed flow over the block so I would expect it to do very well and similar to the GT/GTX. And no, I don't have an RBX, but I do have an MC-TDX and TDX. I've requested samples from swiftech before a couple of times and they've never once even responded to me:shrug:

I want this block...new wc system, fuzion v2 + PA120.1 (:shrug:) can handle a Q66 to 4ghz? :D

If you want a single fan rad, go for the PA160. It's almost like a double.
