yes i have both and the TRUE / XTC isnt an issue, theres about 1/2 inch clearance between the two
the problem with the xtc is actually with the PCI-E / PCI cards
i had to put my 8800GT in the bottom PCIE slot otherwise there wasnt enough room, cant remember if it would have worked with severe wiggling and pressure ... which i didnt want to do , or whether it was not a go at all
i think the bottom on the memory cooler was at the least pressing against the card as i remember and the screw on the bottom of the xtc couldnt be inserted
as it is its still actually pressing against the side of my Creative Fatality Champion sound card in the top PCI slot and the cooler is very slightly to the right of centre to accomodate
if your going Crossfire , then you could have problems ...
ive taken a picture , but somewhere between my phone and my isp , its not arriving .. grrrrr
** edit ***
picture added, but not good quality, there is a gap between the 120 mm fan on the right ( scythe jobby ) , and the PCI sound card is pressing against the side of the cooler ...
I have a true120 and an ocz cooler, my ocz came with an extra set of screws though, other than the thumbscrew type ones. I've got one of those on the lower part of the cooler and the graphics card (9800gtx fits fine, though if there were any capacitors or other circuitry on the back of the board it'd definately not fit.
I'm not having fun at all with the asus though, a qx9650 with 2x 2Gb Ocz 1600 7-7-7-24 isn't prime stable even at 333 fsb 1333 ram, relaxed timings, and I've tried upping the fsb/nb voltage, cpu voltage, disabled spread spectrums, dram static read/write, some of the cpu features, on board features, everything I can think of, yet it won't remain stable even at bog standard speeds :(
The Cellshock Blues are great with this board DDR 2000 @ 1.88V, BIOS 0204 e8400 Q807A187.
im having similar issues , i can get my Q6600 and ram stable @ 1333 , but as soon as i try and take the ram over 1333 i cant get it to post or even get into windows, if anyones managed it with OCZ 1600 2x2gb i'd love to find out how.
I can get the cpu stable upto at least 3.6 i.e 9x 400mhz with the ram on a divider , so i dont think the cpu / mobo as such is holding me back
seen a few posts here, asus forums and the ocz forums with same kinds of problems , seems to be common, im considering rma'ing the ram
Tony one of the mods / techs at ocz started this post and never finished it suggesting he didnt get far with it either

The reviews sold me.
4 x 1Gb sticks arrive tues from Ireland. Hope they enjoy the plane ride
I got mine in a day -- man those Germans know how to make DDR3.
Like to see how far they will go with my new QX9770
The premium 401 bios are weird, i dont get any divider except 1:2 to work with this bios...
what bios are you using? If there are 1333 standard, then it aint the 1:2 divder...tried any else?
currently i'm at 470fsb .. well for those who think that this board is no good above 450fsb for x3350 or q9450, then i can safely say that's not true.. u just need to have right setting for it.. ;)
Oh crap.. I ordered OCZ XTC Platinum 1600Mhz ram too ...
The P5e3 Premium doesn't like this ram... This kinda blows..
Hope Asus releases a new bios that can handle this ram soon.. :shakes:

Sorry to hear, Phreak :(
Do keep us posted though, it'd be good to hear whether or not it's an issue that affects all boards or just a sample of them... I'm patiently waiting a reply from komplett tech support, that's where I got my mobo/memory too, I don't know if I should RMA or hold out for a new bios
First time I'm posing in the forum and I greet everyone !!!!
I am currently running on a QX9650 and 4GB CELLSHOCK 1800Mhz 8-7-6-21-2T at 1.9V, with air (Scythe MUGEN).
I am DESPERATELY seeking for a nice solid O/C for this board (0401 Bios) but... no other than all to AUTO and only manually set the above memory settings and voltage seems to work as a steady system, eventhough everyone brags for this CPU and memory modules o/c capabilities.... This board's bios is sadly the only drawback, at least till the next one hopefully rises...
Is there ANYBODY that came up with a steady system using the above specifications (any pair of mem at 1800Mhz will do) and care to share with us his/her bios settings ????
THANK YOU IN ADVANCE !!!!
1333MHz is 1:2 at`333FSB stock
What is the best bang for the performance dollar to get DDR2000 w/ a lesser spd RAM of say maybe 1600 or so? Anybody get this boi up to DDR2000 on a 1:2 @ 500FSB yet?
CELLSHOCK SPECIAL EDITION (blue heatsinks)

Device Config : 128Mx8
PCB : 240pin
Module Info : Unbuff. non-ECC, DDR3 DIMM
Speed : PC14400
CAS Latency 8-7-6-21
VDIMM 1,9V
ANY HELP GUYS.. MOST WELCOME !!!!!!:cool:
I have the Blue Kit 1866 MHz
It's a bit different kit, friend sauria. You have the recent one with the new Micron chip. As the guys in CELLSHOCK said, it was a limited edition, with the Micron D9GTR HandPicked and it got the 14400 label (1800Mhz). Produced only for the Greek market (a specific PC multi-store in Athens) and only 30 kits. The initial timings though were the same with yours I think.. 8-7-6-21 at 1.9V.
Anyway, If you can offer a little help about O/C bios setup, I would be most greatful !!! Please note that I run on the intel QX9650.
THANK YOU. :)

Sauria, the Cellshock look like some nice memory. Most of what has been posted though has been with the Wolfdales and not much for the Penyrons. I am running P5E3 Premium, QX9770, watercooled. I have had a ton of headaches with OCZ platinum ddr3-1800 and really haven't been able to realize the potential of this ram. I am strongly considering dumping this ram and going with something else. How does cellshock fair with the 45nm quads? And 4GB on my system has been an even greater headache. Perhaps I should just change gears completely and go with an E8500. Suggestions? Thanks
What I have read shows that the latest BIOS is better for Quads. I had trouble myself with OCZ RAM DDR3-14400 2 x 1G and Wolfdale before I bought the expensive Cellshock. I don't have a Quad to test but I should in a few weeks. There are guys with Quads here though. I'd love to knw how that GEM of a CPU goes with this premium board and Cellshock RAM...I had great luck with Patriot Vipers for half the cost of this RAM. Not 4G though.
Well.. I think that only 2 of the RAM Slots are capable of 1600mhz+ ram...
So... 4x 1gb 1866mhz isn't gonna work I think. :(
Correct me if im wrong ! :p:
