I think I have some problems with the voltage regultators on my P4P800. Even with certified PSU's 12V line doesn't get over 11.98. I've tryed diferent Psu's also.

I use a Thermaltake 480w w/Active PFC powering my P4P800 and my voltages are all over spec, 12.1v, 5.2v, 3.48v, etc. Vcore overvolts too.Quote:

I think my board has some problems.
have ya tried different bios's asapreta? Soul, I've tried different mem settings as well as 3/2 ratio, I guess I'm at my cpu or board limits, could it be the mobo? Has anyone hit over 277 fsb with the 2.6c? If so what steppings?
It came with 1007 BIOS and I flashed to 1010 version as soon as I got windows installed.
I'm using 1009 which was the latest at the time and haven't had any problems so I haven't switched.
Soulburner, update to the 1011 if using the P4C800-E :)
Also Havnt tried with the SATA just on its own. Im not using RAID anymore on the P4C800-E since changing from the MAX3 and use as Single drives.
When I get the rig back up tomorrow, no cpu now, then Ill let you know how it goes....:)
Will be able to let you know how the SL6Z3 goes on a prommy too
Cheers
:)
P4P800 Deluxe here...I still wanna know where I can be assured a good SL6Z3 as I don't feel like taking gambles with newegg and then having to pay restocking fees to RMA when I get a crappy chip.
A friend of myne will have some new brand cpu's today...let's see if that stepping appears among the baby's:D .
Anyone already with that stepping tried a prommy on it????
4ghz maybe?????
12x334 ยงยงยงยง if possible is damn good:slobber:
What about the issue of someguys have about passing the 300fsb barrier???
Someone said 1.6v @ 4ghz.
Oh my god is that true???
1.6ghz of overclock????:slobber: :slobber: :slobber:
Where are u my friend...please say to me that u got one of this one's with u :bananal:
My 2.4C is not a SL6Z3 but it can do over 4 GHz stable. Too bad performance is not as good as I have to tone down my timings from 2.5-2-2-5 to 3-4-4-8 to hit those speeds. :(

Actually it can do 4.08 GHz as I hit that last night but no screenies... Can have some tonight if you guys want. ;)
My Max3 board overvolts a bit, it's set to 1.7V in the BIOS.
My :slobber: is not about the oc potencial but the overclock that this stepping can do at stock cooling and with stock voltage.
bh-4 will be our savior!!!Quote:

Just got mine from newegg:
Prod Code: BX80532PG2400DSL6WR
FPO/Batch: L321B159
I'll report back on my results when I get it up and running.
just finished the vmod, now running at 295fsb 5:4 2,2,2,5 timings with 3.2v...that mod was incredibly easy :D :banana:Quote:

BOOYA! BOOYA! BOOYA!...BYOB, bring your own BOOYA!
Nice job pure booya...did you use that technique where you just tire the cu wire onto the chip?
:toast:
On the stock cooler and stock voltage my 2.4C can do 3.4 GHz and with a AX478 w/TT Smart Fan 2 I can do 3.6 GHz with stock voltage. ;)Quote:

Is that good enough?
Man I am so waiting for the BH-4!!! :D

yep, that's all i did
eheheh i noticed you hadn't changed your sig before, but now you got it :D
Ok, so far I can boot into windows at 3.3@1.550 vcore using stock cooler (altough I replaced crappy thermal pad w/ AS3). I tried 3.5 pushing the vcore up to 1.575 and it will boot but then bluescreens at windows load screen. Seems to be the cpu as my corsair pc3200 is gold - booted fine at DD466 cas2. I have done no stability testing so far but initital results seem promising. The temp sensors on this epox board seem whack though. Very first boot, bios reports cpu at 50C and mobo temp at 35C/95F. The mobo is sitting out on my dining room table and my thermostat says the room is 78F. Well, I'm off to shoot some pool and relax for the evening, I'll get into this more in the morning. Peace.
That doesn't sound too far off to me...The nb on the 4pca3+ is suppose to run hot, and the stock cooler is pretty bad. If you aren't gonna put a better cooler on the nb you should atleast lap it, and put on some as3. Those are basically the same temps that I was getting. Are you sure that the second sensor is the nb, and not in some random spot on the mobo?Quote:

......how did you get over 295fsb and the "slow-down" problem fixed? I thought you said it was happening over 295fsb so correct me if I'm wrong :) ..............Quote:

edit- nevermind I found your post explaining it ...........
agp/pci problem...
fix...
use the P4C800 ULTRA Version 1.5d version...
the slowing thing is an agp/pci bug that all of the boards suffer from(atleast the p4c800 and 4pca3+). Just go to the highest you can go without the "slowing" affect, and then use setfsb to go higher.
....I just installed Clock-gen, is that the same thing or do you think setfsb is better? Noticed using clockgen that only CPU-Z and there cpu checker shows the increase but SiSandra and WCPUID doe not, is this normal?.........
......hehehe-the link takes me to a thread where i put this thread in as a link :D .............
