THanks , thought it worth a play , seems quiet novel playing with other dividers after just using a lower fsb & 1:2 divider all the time.Quote:
that is a nice FSB!...i found a place to buy an OEM E8400
Ran a comparison of 1N v 2N
2%
Found my cutoff on 1N seems about 1700Mhz
Hi guys i need help on this mobo.
All details here: http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...5&postcount=55
Thx in advice
Hi Valdo Not sure about the details of your memory, these are mt settings tthat i'd used on my Q6600 , not primed them yet, cos the E8200 arrived, but
there there or thereabouts.

No worries :) I usually do a 3.6k prime stable settings post 1st thing, but as I say got a bit carried away when the E8200 arrived :) Whilst every rig is different, it does give at least a starting point.
I added what i think are the base voltages to the voltage section so that we can see what the absolute voltages are by adding the base to the overclock settings. I know from the Gigabyte GA X38 DQ6 Blog thread that a lot of pps asked that. It does make more sense.
If anyone has any better ideas or upgrades on the base voltages please let me know & we'll get them upgraded if needed.
Thank so much Super, with ur bios settings i go first time in windows and i see my memories working 1600 for some seconds, after that i got crashes.
Following my best bios settings:
All parts are very cool!! Memories seems to be under 40C°Code:GIGABYTE GA X48T DQ6 Clock Settings

Oh well thaat's abit better :), I'd try upping your memory voltage a notch, Your running on 2v (1.5v+0.05) I'm not sure what the maximum is for your ram.
Is this youram ?? TW3X2G1600C9DHX G The rated volts are 1.80v for 1600 so your running 0.20v over spec.
Try dropping your ram speed to say 3.20(1280) pr 3.33(1333) & running prime small ffts to check if your CPU is statble. If it fails try upping vcore , maybe try upping FSB to 0.35v and/or increasing (G)MCH OverVoltage a notch. Repeat if needed until CPU is stable.
If CPU is ok then it's memory tuning again voltage uis already over spec., so shouldn't be needed. Ther biggest lever I've found is Static tREAD Value (tRD) your at 7 which is the normal setting for 400 fsb.You might try 8 but that will probably be quite a performance hit.
See how it goes , if your still having issues you might try Corsair Product Support
luck:)
Thank u again Super, i've passed over this prob, now the system seems stable after 20 mins of stress, pls come with me to the other thread http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...=178910&page=3 so we can speak with Benchzone also and I dont risk to create cross posting.
Now the new problem for me is temp monitoring.
Thx again
Added 8Hr Prime run from today & Bios settings to E8200 7.5x500 @3.33D = 166DDR 7-6-5-18
Am trying to see what max FSB is :)
Will then see how I can use that with the memory speed.:D
holy cow, SS, nice job at taking it up to 1666 mhz on the memory speed at 4.0 ghz.
those write and copy speeds are awesome at a PL of 9!!!
Cheers Ace :) , have ended the day quiet well had an odd journey ended up here 3,900 520x7.5 @2.4n that's right 2.40B but look at the scores on the doors  you need to start Here to see the gorry details:)
Luck:)
it must be the cellshock memory...AND...then the CAS setting is the other major factor...also, it is nice to do it with 2 x 1gb instead of 2 x 2gb.;)
Yep I just didn't expect the performance to be that good. I'd expect better latency as the timings tightened , but the bandwidth seems to have remained quiet high , i've had more sub 10k everest results on higher dividers but with slacker timings.Quote:

Anyways I'm happy :)
(for the minute Muhahaah:lol;) )
Used the New F5A
3.33D Strap & divider with 480x7.5
3,600 7.5x480@1600Mhz 6,6,6,12
i noticed your previous run at 3.8 ghz you were able to get over the 10K hump for copy speed but lowering the total mhz dropped you below 10K on the copy speed even though your memory speed is 800 mhz while the other was at 616 mhz.
Good point ace though i have gone from 3.8 ghz to 3.6k will try the 1600 at higher cpu again later , assuming it runs
how are you doing now, SS?...calculating!:D
Morning :)
Ok didn't get much time yesterday , wound up the 6-6-6-12 settings a bit
Don't you just hater it when this happens:)
Nut better news in link :)

Wooooo!...very nice!...that memory speed is excellent along with the 10K+ speeds in all 3 categories.
i just received my replacement X48T board...i will set it up later with my 'new':D QX9650
thanks ace just replying at http://valid.x86-secret.com/cache/banner/343939.png
trying benches:)
great stuff looking forward to seeing the benches :up:Quote:

quick report on the new board: noticed that the replacement board LED lights are working normally...the first board it was intermittent.
i am able to adjust the memory timings a little easier but the processor is different from the first time around...1st time was Q6600; this time it is a QX9650.
i will post more tomorrow evening since i need to do some house cleaning for a house that we are selling in a few days.
