Can anyone can help me droop and vcore modding this circuit? Ive read the datasheet for the ADP chip and it seems it's max is 1.6V, hence why the BIOS uses a +0.3V modifier. Maybe the modifier can be added to?

My first session on LN2 didnt go very well, spent two hours just trying to load windows :/
I had all kinds of troubles with temps and condensation, so tomorrow ill give it another shot with some extra protection.

Had a more successful session today :D
I'm convinced yesterday's problems were caused by condensation.
Today i found out a few more of the querks of the board, like the vcore doesnt like being set above 1.7V with the additional load current setting enabled.
Also i needed a very light mount pressure or else it refused to post.
The pots were happily running at -130C, and holding load was not a problem down towards -140C.
My wPrime 1024M run is slow, because unfortunately i found out after my Vista had somehow limited the RAM to 3.2Gb, then i went to rerun it and hit condensation problems.
This board is really difficult to use for extreme OC'ing, as im sure you others will agree.
Is ORB down? Every time i try to submit my CPU score explorer closes... :shakes:

Congratulate wit the oc.duo you tote sometime of putting water , dry-ice or ln2 on the chip between the CPUs and on the 3 chips be need the big fan(2 SLI chip and the other)?Will this be a good or bad id to do it?I am still waiting on my bord.

yes T M the internet explorer comes up as iexplorer must close but then when i checked on firefox the scores upload ok so if you sent to the orb the score is there
edit: yes the internet explorer bug is still there on the orb but i can confirm that any scores uploaded to the orb have gone on there ok but you need to use another browser like firefox etc to view them

NIce results there! :clap: I have some questions for you:
1) you tried to run the CPU Test @-150/-160°C? I asked this because my chips closed the first CPU TEst @ -165/170 with 1.86V @5.6 GHz. :eek:
2) You board sometimes say 00 on the debug led? My are doing this sometimes and I have to turn off teh system and after some hours it will work again :(

My system always displays '00' on the LEDs once up and running.
Bootup sequence (from memory) goes 29, 28, 34, 12, Eb (POST), 5A (splash), 00....
Futuremark absolutely raped their ORB when they changed it, i'd seriously fire the team who worked on it. All us paying customers are being screwed around on our product.
CPU score - yeah i have definately got Fugs/King in my sights, seemed to gain 300 points for every 100MHz or so.
Im struggling to supply the voltage i want though, my board will not completely load XP (after splash screen it sits with black screen) if i set the vcore higher, even at -140C on both pots.
I didnt try harder to run colder temps during CPU tests, since they are very short and i would bug straight after at -145C or less. Maybe when i run a complete test i could test it out.

Good numbers. I remember I got 10K+ cpu score @ 5.2G [13*400] with a GTX in my short stint. So this is surely good one man :D

I was hoping to be uploading some kick arse '06 scores today, but after a great start (booting at 5.6GHz) the system performance began degrading and after a few hours condensation took over and all i have to show for it is a new fastest CPU score.
I could bench higher 5400, but the score was throttling to 11.8k.

yeah we had the same problems too
booting at 5.6GHz and then just going pair shaped after a while
probably condensation related
that mobo sucks :down:
My samples were booting @ 5.6 GHz (400x14) with ~1.83V and I can bench @ -165/170°C. But after the first CPU test @ 5.6 GHz the system crushed and after that "sometimes" I have problem during the booting (at default too) if I don'use the Power on switch to shut down the system :shrug:

Yesterday i couldnt even get the system to POST :(
I was sick of condensation problems so i added a coating of vaseline to my already nailpolished socket area. Also added AS5 to the NB.
The plan was then to run on air with 9800GX2 on LN2, but the system just sits at '00' post code.
No :banana::banana::banana::banana:ing idea what is causing it, ive tried reseating CPU's about 5 times each, redoing the cooler mounts, BIOS config jumper off and on, bridging the Clear CMOS pads with a screw driver, etc.
loosen up the mount all the way so that it's just holding the springs
not sure if that is the cause but i did read somewhere that these boards don't like too hard a mount
I agree, all the dual socket Intels back to the 800FSB nocona xeons don't like a lot of pressure on the mount.Quote:

Im running the air coolers with no mount, so the only pressure is the tiny weight of the zalman cooler.
Ive run it for long benching sessions like that before with no problems so its not caused by lack of pressure either :s
