This is one of the worst chips I have ever overclocked. It requires the same amount of Vcore (1.85) to do 2.3GHz which is what my 2100 was doing.

ahhhh
ohhh, damn, mine gets here tomorrow. i hope this thing can at least hit 2.4 at 1.9v
Damn, that sucks.. it was 1.45v default?
im still holding my hopes up, sounds like more people will have them tomorrow
heh, that §§§§ING SUCKS damnit! oh well, I'm getting mine tomorrow. Will tell you guys how it overclocks. This better not be a huge waste of money!
hopefully the 03030 part is better than the 029 oh well, heres to hoping :smileysexQuote:

wow ok, that's better. I hope it passes. My mobo only goes up to 1.8 vcore tho  . It overvolts all the way up to a steady 1.87-1.92v tho. Should I be ok?
you using watercooling?Quote:

pakotlar, you might want to look into doing a Vmod on your board.
Yeah, if you wanna know what all I use, it's in my sig. I've got 2x 512MB of Buffalo PC3700 coming next week so hopefully I can raise my FSB to 230 or so and drop my multi a bit. 227x11 will be what I shoot for (when I get my NF7-S back from Abit).

not too good with a solder (actually haven't used one since I was about 7). will be interested in doing a vmod on this board, however I would have to buy a fine tip solder.
u know a guide to the vmod?
well, i guess i'll just wait and see the results from the other folks. i doubt i'd get much better than 2.3GHz with one of the mobile chips. i guess i was expecting better than 2.5GHz using water. :(
pakotlar, i'm sure you can find a vmod somewhere. what board do you have? MSI?
yep, one of those super duper expensive (JUST KIDDING! 79 bucks lol) msi K7N2Delta-ILSR (good mobo btw, get newegg refurb section for 79). Goes only to 1.8vcore, but overvolts like .1 lol.
well, unless you check the voltage with a DMM, it probably doesn't overvolt by .1v. generally the onboard hardware monitor isn't correct.
anyway, i'm sure you can find a vmod for your motherboard, but i really dunno where to start looking. DDTUNG or oppainter might be able to help you out or point you in the right direction.
If I get 2.5 on air Ill be happy. 2.4 would be ok but anything less and Im sending it back to newegg saying I ment to order the regular one but got the mobile one instead. Maybe mine will be a week 30 but I doubt it. At least I can hope for a week 29 "Y".
good idea, I will do the same if I can't get over 2.2 ghz. But if I get 2.3, in my eyes that will justify the purchase. Hopefully I won't have to go over 1.7vcore to do it ( i don't want it to run hot).Quote:

i got my chip today. It is a 0329WPMW part. bin number 0175. i'm hoping for at least 2.3 ghz.
2.5GHz on air would be ok, but 2.6GHz would be better. i've already got a XP2500 that'll do 2.3GHz on my SLK900.
Top Hat Theater, what was the bin number on your chip?
pakotlar, is that a "9" or a "Y" chip?
see, thats why i ordered a 2400+ , the 2400+ is probably week 30 ;)
ive heard mixed results about 30's too...oh well, hope u have good luck. i believe my chip is a 9 :(
i just got mine i right now, and its.... 0329 '9' its a low number 075
be back with some results.
*clicking refresh every 5 min* :D
putting it in :toast:
i'm waiting for results too!
