Don't you think it could be the fact that you have reattached the IHS to the CPU ? What did you use to make the contact between the cores and the IHS ?Quote:

Done quite a few IHS replacements, never had a problem before.
I'm going to try and pull it off tomorrow maybe though if I get time.

Not well at the moment, I need to find a way to solder the fins to the heatpipes because the compression method TT uses isnt very reliable and just electroplating wont fix it... I'll be running tests before fixing it as I dont know whether it might break or not while being "fixed"...
On a positive note if you drill a small hole in the center of the top mount retention bracket and break off the retention wings the TRUE-1366 retention mechanism will hold it on an i7 ;)
