alright, seems like there is a winner coming :)
According to HKE PC, new (g92) 8800gts 512mb will have 0.8ms GDDR3,
128 Stream Processors, 64 Texture Filtering Units, 64 Texture Address Units and 24 Raster Operations Units (could be 16 though)
Sounds good to me!

in that link :
0.8ns @ 1960Mhz ????
I think maybe memory = 8800GT >> 1.0ns @ 1940mhz

Manufacturers can choose the memory modules for themselves though, would be nice if it is indeed 0.8 ns, this card would definitely craving for some bandwidth boost.
I hope the demand won't be as high this time as for 8800GT but I doubt it... it sucks, I can't even upgrade to a graphics card I want to cuz it's sold out everywhere and has been like this for weeks now, when was it this huge supply shortage last time? I don't remember it being this bad as long as I've been active in the hardware market (talking about 8800GT & HD38x0). Hope G92 8800GTS won't be more than 270~300 EUR though.
so do I, I'd like to buy a new card but I cannot because it's sold out everywhere. no time for hesitating if you want one today you have to fight and be quick...
I'd like to see if they put samsung 0.8ns on the new GTS, it would be interesting, pretty sure it would be better than gaymonda
Whats with the wierd looking dent in the cooler?

G92-Based 8800GTS 512 Could Possibly Arrive December 11th
It would seem as though NVIDIA is celebrating the day that I get my full drivers license, sans passenger restrictions, by releasing the revamped NVIDIA GeForce 8800GTS 512, based on the impressive G92 micro-architecture. The new 8800GTS 512 will only come in one flavor, which, as the name suggests, will sport 512MB of 256-bit VRAM. This is opposed to the previous versions, which ship with either 320MB or 640MB of 320-bit VRAM. The new 8800GTS 512 will come with 128 Stream processors, a welcome improvement from the previous 96 Stream processors. The new 8800GTS also has another welcome surprise: an engine clock of 650MHz, higher than any 8800 series GPU before it. Current rumor has it that the 8800GTS 512's 512MB of VRAM will be clocked at roughly 1.96GHz. The 8800GTS 512 should be available on December 11th for between $299 and $349 USD.

I need a keyword filter for sub emails. Things like...
"1GB"
"24 ROP"
"$299"
"1, single PCIe 6pin"
"Leds"
"Hard Launch"
:D:D
No leaked mini review, no nothing .... so strange.
This is going to be a exploding performance card or it i'll going to be a floop. Hope not :(
Well from the specs it's a card between the gtx and ultra for $300+
Interesting...I have plenty of time to see what unfolds. Hopefully NVIDIA's next gen will be out by March :D
Still no performance results ???? weird.
I'm also thinking about that. i play at 2560x1600 ... what to buy ? a second hand 300 euro gtx or a new gts or even gt ??
gtx/ultra vs gt
768mb ram vs 512
384 bit vs 256 bit
575 clock vs 600 clock
128 shaders vs 112 shaders
gtx/ultra vs new gts
768mb ram vs 512/1024
384bit vs 256bit
575clock vs 650 clock
128 shaders vs 128 shaders( higher speed )
the question is wil the extra 128 bit bus make a diffirence. And do you need less than 512mb ram , 512 to 768 or even more ram.
LyP0 , for 2560x1600 you can't play with gt for sure . I doubt gts will give decent FPS .
Personally , if the results at 1920x1200 are not good , i'll buy again a 8800gtx (i sold mine last month) .
Seeing how much the GT owns, this card should be incredible.

Wow, thanks weeds! Now to wait for some results! :D
Damnit weeds...I thought that . in your sig was a dead pixel in my screen!
Very nice to see a single pcie, but wtf tt...how bout some Crysis benchies now!!
I like the sounds of it being available earlier than the Dec. 11th release date everyone has been talking about. Can't wait to see some numbers, if it's as impressive as the 8800GT is I think I'll have to pick one up.
