:D Nice results but You guys should remember that each Yorkie performs different.
So what You need is 4.5Ghz at below 1.5 volts..........:p::

Next question guys:
I just installed XP Professional last night and ditched Vista.
How much do you think my SuperPi 1m scores will improve at 4.70 GHz?
Very little i'm afraid, your score with Vista seems about the same as others i've seen running other OS's.
You have a small advantage running DDR3 but don't expect to see low 9 seconds though.
9.8xx might be on the cards.
Good luck pushing it.
Almost a 4.80 Ghz validation tonight.
nice what vcore for 4790Mhz validation ?
Mine arrived today (weird USPS EMS delivered to me on a Saturday! )

Maximus Extreme run well with my new QX9650 watercooled (L739A770)

I wish there was a way to figure out the difference in benchmarks between the q6600 at 4ghz and the qx9650 at 4ghz.
I believe this is essentially the difference to upgrade if you think about it. Current quads can overclock very high as well and for only $270 or so. It's the comparison of benchmarks at the same speeds that will make people want to upgrade to the next chipset.
Now who has both a q6600 and qx9650 and can run gaming, 06-3dmark, sandra, everest, and all gaming benchmarks ;)
You guys are tearing it up, 4.6GHz on water seems to be the norm now.
I want some of the action but can't afford. :(
I will await the release of the E8500 i think.
thanks for sharing good clocking
Rich
Yowza!!!
I don't want to take away from just how impressive some of these numbers are, but holy crap people, running these chips even for short periods of time at 1.65v!!!
No thank you!
Are there any Q6600 running stable 4GHz 24/7 ? I have heard of no one.
For Q6600, normal 24/7 stable OC is 3.6-3.8 (the latter is unlikely though), and for QX9650 we can assume 4 -4.2GHz. So, 10-15% improvement in clock speed. Good, but not fantastic.
Besides, keep in mind that more affordable Q9550 and Q9450 will clock lower, especially Q9450 which is gonna be limited by low multiplier for sure.
I have a bad feeling that many people may be surprised that even a low FSB such as 450 will be very tough on these consumer level Q releases. :(
I have always had to raise the multi around 450 FSB, even with full NB/MCH/SB tweaking. FSB seems to be a huge limiting factor on these new quads.
