lol,, vulture mode..
looking forward to it chaos!!!
I play crysis on a 8600gts oc and its ok, 20-30 fps with a mix of medium to very high settings using custom config, the res is quite low at 760p but cant really complain..
damn...only 220 usd in the US, I have to pay 280 for mine :(
USA always seems to have the best prices in the world, because its the biggest market?
the size of our market is probably the biggest factor, but i'm sure it doesn't hurt that Intel, AMD, and Nvidia are all American companies (and ATI is now owned by AMD).
sorry if this thread has gotten off topic, but the OP isn't posting very many benchies!

the above link has a driver hotfix for ATI cards. it claims improved Crysis performance and improved Crysis CrossFire performance. it looks like it's just a beta for the soon to be released 7.11 Catalyst, so it will be mainstream very soon anyway.
Just so you all know.
The official release date of 7.11 driver is Nov.21st.
You didn't hear this from me:D :D :D
I'll be watching this thread closely as I'm ordering 2 3870's to replace my GT once they are in stock
I've already got one. Think I'm going to end up ordering 2 more when the Egg has them in stock. :)
I got mine from diamond for $10 over MSRP last night. Just checked and they still have stock but WOW. They are charging $299 now. Coming from one of the cards manufacture that is total BS. Not to mention $15 S&H which is pretty high if you ask me.
you little Sh*te head! :p: :D
it was more of a joke. but of course you're right that the release date might get pushed back but judging by what i got today it's lookin pretty good.
Had to block some stuff out....

i knew it was a joke... :)
what did you block out? obviously i'm not asking what... more of why, i guess.
Has anyone confirmed the mounting holes on these cards to be the same as the x1900 seires cards?? If so, water blocks/ect should work??
oooh, i'm glad i ordered mine on the first day. i was afraid something like this might happen, so i got two for $219 each from Newegg. they arrive on Monday :D
for those that haven't bought yet, you might consider waiting. Asus is releasing a model with aftermarket cooling on it. i heard the special edition will be clocked at 850/2300  (the memory was actually clocked in the high 2200's, but i forget the exact number and don't feel like looking it up).
cheap g cards are like cheap oil atm ...scarce.
i'm pretty sure the egg will still be selling them for $219... the problem lies with when they actually get them in stock. if they don't come in till the new year, i'm waiting for the new high end cards.
Crysis benchmarks, please. I think 8800GTs in SLI will be better.
Lemme guess 7.11 Beta... :-P
Der... what else could it be?
RC4, I believe.
stinking the egg could have made a million plus these last 2 days just off sales they would have made on the 3870..that is if they would have had enough to supply the majority with our needs instead of teasing us.
