Doesn't work!

Crysis work flawlessly on DX9 mode with Modded very high setting when you overclock.
Is there any way to flash my card in windows...?
Does anyone have a HIS 2900XT 512mb DDR3 bios with modded Voltages...?
Oddly enough, Crysis is more stable for me at higher clocks than BF2142 and UT3. I've got to take my core down for UT3 and my mem down for BF2142.
Don't flash your card in windows. Just don't..... You'll regret it after the card dies. :D
I've got a modded bios for my HIS 2900xt, but I have the clocks up to 920/920 for the stock 3d OC. Probably not good to share....

Make a bootable USB stick :p:
i have flashed a his 2900 pro into an XT on an ABIT ip35-pro, usb flash, works great. im tempted to make a new bios with better 3d clocks.
edit:
just modded the xt bios that was on there. and it gets the same thing ownage gets. shall i modd a pro bios?
edit2: nvm both an edited pro and an edited xt doesnt work. trying quannum
quannum work fine. but when i use the editor to look at the quannum bios it says 1.15 as the volts. lol something isn't right on the editor.
He means the lowest Quantum bios is modded to 1.25v. If you open any modded bios made by the Quantum editor you can see its raised to 1.2v or 1.3v or whatever. Only if you open a Quantum-force bios which delivers 1.3v its recognized as 1.15v in the editor.
Ok, thnx for the info. I wonder what goes wrong then
Did you re-install your drivers after flashing?
i can use any of the quantum bioses perfectly fine. try the 880d950 one. works great for me now. 1.25v 3d 1.1v 2d
also what i was trying to say earlier was.. when i open the 880d950 bios in the editor it shows 1.15 volts. i have my original bios and it doesn't seem to work when i change the volts. works fine when i change the clocks but not the volts..
Did you guys with problems enumerate the adapters? The target device to flash is device 0 correct? (most likely yes if it doesn't work after the flash but still...)
003 have you tried pulling the card and clearing CMOS after the flash? Or trying the card in another rig?
Yup, you were correct. Crysis works fine at 840/1165 in Dx9.
Looking for some input here. When running 850MHz/1100MHz @ 1.2V I can pass multiple loops of HDR/SM3.0 graphics tests (Canyon/Deep Freeze) but my computer locks up almost immediately when running SM2.0 graphics test (firefly forest), is there a reason I can pass SM3.0 tests multiple times but can't even get going on a SM2.0 test? With everything else 850MHz/1100MHz is stable, as far as I can tell.
I have got the same problem, can run Crysis @ 850/1200 but PC freezes in Need for speed carbon
What is the default 3D voltage on these cards... mine seems to be 1.20V
Can someone please upload a HIS 2900XT 512mb DDR3 bios with 1.3V on 3D
First try got a black screen after flashing with a modified Bios of my Pro.
After learning something about Hex-Editors:confused: , I got it to work like this:
modified Bios as I need
went into cmd and found out checksum with atiflash (atiflash -cf bios.bin)
opened Hex-editor and searched for some empty space (00 00 00 00)
entered what i need to get to my checksum ( e.g. if i get a checksum for the orig.bios of 0x8B00, but my modified file has 0x8A9B; I overwrote some zeros with 65 (0x0065) and as result got again to a checksum of 0x8B00)
Hope I explained it right, as I dont´t really know what I´m doing here. But after editing to the correct checksum, I even don´t need the -F option to flash.
I´m now running my Sapphire 512 MB Pro with Bios 2D 400/400 @ 0,9V, 3D 793/927 @ 1,2 V.
3dmark06 runs up to 850/1000
Crysis runs up to 793/1000 (over 793 core some strange flashing when smoke appears)
Hellgate an NFS Pro Street would both run the core up to 850, but doesn´t allow the VidRam to run more then 927
Perhaps I could get it higher with more power, but as I´m running stock cooler I think 793/927 ist nice for me.
Forgot to mention: runnig Vista DX10
Do you have an abit motherboard??
Yes, an ABIT AN8-U. Had the same problem that after flashing modified bios, no adapter information for the new bios were displayed and it didn´t work. The same bios only with corrected checksum works, atiflash also displays adapter information after flashing (took my orig Bios to modify).
Strange thing tho, with my default bios, I can get 875/2490 dont know if this is max memory, but that is as high as rivatuner goes
But with your bios I can only do 900/2000. Anything above 900mhz core and my pc would freeze and anything above 2000mhz on the memory gives nice red artifacts
So, does my bios relax the memory timings or does it have a higher voltage on the memory..?
Seems odd that it gives a 500mhz boost in memory clocks
