ewok, which bios did you use there?
I'm at 300 2.5-4-4-5 with the same ram on same mobo but my scores are around 600MB/s slower than yours (ive tried bios 1002 and 1010 so far).

Anyone tried this Adata PC4000 in a NF7 mobo yet?
what for, it seems it doesn't like decent timmings so it will not be worth for us amds users...
think i will putt them on for sale in netherlands for a few weeks until my m8 is running his e-shop
Where can I get one of those sticks in europe?
Got 2 sticks of ddr450 2x256 from Taiwan last week from my bro. Cl 2.5 w/ 4.5B chips. Dont know if they are good or not yet. Still in plastic packaging. Got some tel # at the back if you guys wanna call. (02) 8228-0886 / (02) 8228-0887. These sticks cost about ~USD 57:slobber: :toast:
I'll get mine from http://www.pc-memory-upgrade.co.uk/m...am-pc4000.asp.
94 € and 4€ for shipping. Cheaper than Corsair or HyperX in Germany.
Ordered 2 Sticks.
Now i need an motherboard and a cpu:D
83 € @ http://www.overclockers.co.uk/acatalog/Adata.htmlQuote:

Including VAT an shipping it is around the same price. But shippinginsurence is only 27 .-. Not enough for international shipping.Quote:
ewok, well thats the one I used too :)
Any idea why your results are so much higher?
my bios was set to 280FSB, 400MHz, Turbo, 2.5-4-4-5-4 MAM=enable, AUTO, AUTO
CPU multiplier was at 8x
I think thats your problem right there :)Quote:

1) do you have any links to VDIMM & VCORE mods for the Albatron PX865PE Pro?
2) what multipliers are available on the P4 2/3.x C engineering sample (ES) CPUs?
mam? i dont think i have mam on my P4C. i was at more than 280 for my top scores, it was about 297.Quote:

Hmm I dont think that 8x multi would drop the score by 600MB/s? maybe more like 100MB/s at max
[SLC]Tachyon, dont have links for em but I've done the Vmem mod. cant remember the details but it was some 8pin chip near the DIMM slots/SouthBridge, pin 8 to gnd via 50k VR. I might take a pic of the mod later this evening.
And I can use 8,12,13,14 and 15 with 3G ES chip. 3.2G ES would offer 16x also.
ewok, mam is the memory acceleration mode or sumthing like that in the bios, my boot up FSB was 280 from the bios but I ran it up to 300 1:1 using setfsb.. still max sandra was like 6600MB/s
I think its very possible to have 600 mb/s difference between 8x and 16x!! Thats a pretty huge CPU difference, this is Sandra we're talking about... especially multi's sub 10x never give too good scores...Quote:

PS, do you mean "Performance Accelleration Mode" ? I have that on my P4C800 , no MAM but PAM :D
ewok use a 2600C, so have multi to 13Quote:

Hmm i have got 2 A-DATA sticks right here, and im currently @ 264Fsb 1:1 when i use Setfsb but Sandra dosen't seem to recognice(update) the higher fsb set with setfsb?! What do you guys do?
ex. when i boot at 255 1:1 and use setfsb to raise fsb till 264 sandra still says the mem is at 255 1:1 ??!?!?
Thank you Macci, I would *highly* appreciate a pic of the mod. :)Quote:

Also, does the VCORE have to be bumped up on this board using vidpinning instead of a VCORE mod?

sorry, wrong number I knew what chip he was using ;)
Still, I believe the difference between 8x and 13 to be the cause of at least the biggest part of the 600 mb/s difference...
:) jep and then i will sell em, they are fkking cheap :)Quote:

there is about 1500mhz of difference, ~2380 VS 3870, probably enought to get at least 400mb/sQuote:

looks like you guys were rite about the multiplier's effect on memband.
using 12x I'm getting around 7000 at 300 1:1 2.5-4-4-5
some 3dmark03 GT1 numbers with different mem settings:
280 1:1 2.5-4-4-5 => 217.5fps
280 5:4 2-2-2-5 => 218.6fps
290 1:1 2.5-4-4-5 => 220.9
290 5:4 2-2-2-5 => 221.7
