does cooling the back of the motherboard lower CPU temps?
it's 70mm x15mm.... and yes, one can still close the case. Once the screws are on it's kind of hard to get past the right rear vertical post, but it just takes a little pressure.
The CPU? not really, and it cools the mobo about 4c or so. I didn't expect much doing this because I wasn't going to vent out side air by cutting the outside of the case (TJ-07 is too pretty to do that.) Still though, it does get air moving back there, it was a great way to tinker for a couple of hours.
word of warning though about cutting on the 20 gauge steel motherboard tray... unless you have a professional type press, do not try to A) use a hole saw or B) try to use a cobalt bit to repeatedly bore out the space. The simplest way is to use Dremel/Rotozip out the needed space using reinforced cutting discs.
Tj07 doesn't have any intake fans? Hows the air flow?
Hi all, I was considering getting the TJ07 for a while now but i noticed that to get the neat cabling in most of the cases, the mobo tray was modified with extra holes. is this necessary? if so, what tools would one need to do accomplish this?
Empty_Quarter, it looks like the front of your TJ07 is using Antec 900 bezels or perhaps even the extra HDD cage for the 900. would you be able to confirm my assumption? if you did use either of them, was there any modding required or did it fit just fine w/o mods?
Thanks in advance :)
Edit your post plz, you don't need to quote all pics in the world
Hey, I'm thinking about getting a TJ07. I was curious about what water cooling supplies you use in your systems. I am a noob to water cooling. Please message me, I love this case and water cooling setup, I am just confused on which parts to buy. Thanks.
Also, the fan control speed takes place of the front inputs. Where do you put in headphones mics, ect. In the back of the motherboard?
what does it matter? just unscrew them, flip them around and air flow direction will be in the opposite direction
These Silverstones seem like very nice, sturdy, good looking quality cases. I may have to get one the sext time I am case shopping!!
