BTW, I'm working on compiling a list of tubing for a follow-up review. So far I'm looking at the silver anti-bacterial tubing, some Clearflex, and perhaps I'll try to find some Tygon B-44-3... where can I find that?
Very nice review! I just ordered 1/2" and 1/4" Black Tygon from Sidewinder tonight.
What about all these different types of Tygon tubings McMaster has in stock?
Yes, Ranker did us a favor there. Not the easiest to source but seems the best choice currently.
hey jedda which tubing are you using in your build...
I ordered 20ft of masterkleer 7/16 5/8 tubing... from Petra's...
Revival - hey, no shock paddles necessary :D
Most of these tubes are PVC or PVC-based.
What's the general opinion on thick-walled silicone tubing? More elastic, easier
to bend with probably a lower radius and is easier to find than some of these
exotic tubes; not as clear though. Any reasons against them?
Thanks.
Could you do a metric version too? 8/6mm, 10/8mm?
I've put together a table of all the Tygon products of interest to me/my store and have provided metric conversions in the table.
Sorry for the 'product' page, but this is the simplest means to present the info for you: http://www.gammods.com.au/store/inde...roducts_id=391
Note that the same specifications table is provided on each of the Tygon product pages.
Cheers

how did I never see this before? Very nice.
Fantastic review.
Nice!
I haven't seen this yet either. Another vote for sticky.
I too would love to see an aging comparison, but it would be pretty intensive as I'm sure it has part to do with the coolant used.
So I was just ready to pull the trigger on 10' of some Tygon 3603, but I read through this thread and seems there are some detractors to the 3603. I did notice my masterkleer going cloudy after use and want something that will stay clear, not really worried about bending radius as I have large amounts of room.
Great info... thanks this will really come in handy:up:

Oh man, great work, another reason to love XS :)
Is there any testing of which tubing lets the most uv rays through? I know in my loop, the tygon 3603 is acceptably clear, but it lets VERY LITTLE uv light in unless you are basically touching the tube with the uv light, so all of the uv coolant stuff I bought was a waist of money.
I think that the Koolance blue uv Tubing looks really good (a nice blue crystal clear when unlit, and a nice blue when lit), but it kinks too ez and doesn't stay that clear for too long :(.
UV tests plz then sticky!
