are you using a washer between backplate and the mobo on the backside? Curious..I did this and I wonder if this is one reason my load temps suck with my Fuzion and e6600
no i was goin to do it that way but the screw was to little and went threw the hole but also is your fuzion bowed mines is
No I have not bowed my fuzion
I placed washers between backplate and mobo, then washer and nut on cpu socket side....I am using the spring mounting....I tried hard mount and remounting with springs 2-3 times ..my temps are always the same
debating on whether I want to lap the cpu.....
bow it and i promise you will see better temps
Very nice... congratulations.... i like so much your mod :)
thanks
yep i used the o-ring i found in my watercooling box i cant remember what it came with
how do you bow the block? any guides?
cheers
after you take block apart you must:
1. get spare o-ring from a barb you have laying around
2. place it nicely on opening
3. then place top on and firmly hold it on while you start screwind it together.(important to hold it tight to prevent o-ring from slipping/falling out of alignment with hole)

I habe been asking how the bowing does with the quad cores..does the bow..just bow the central blcok so the effect is not as good with a quad as a dual core??
got myself some new toys for my tj07 i think a new keyboard will be coming soon but not sure what to buy there are so many options out there but i have been looking the g15, g11, trantula, and eclipse
http://i187.photobucket.com/albums/x...cture002-6.jpg
Wow you have done a great job on this build! Lots of work put into it. As for the keyboard, I would go with a Tarantula. I have one and I love it to no end just be prepared to have a microfiber cloth handy to wipe finger prints off of it.
to tell the truth the tarantula is what i want because i want to keep the whole razer look but the g11 and g15(w/ blue lights) seem to be good as well i wish i could play with them before i made choice
Hey M8... Great TJ-07! I'm loving mine
While your Mobo is out and you're gutted you could consider a fan on the backside of the mother board. Cut a hole (just on the motherboard, no outside cutting) and mount a thin fan. I used 70x15mm. Took the Mobo temperature down about 5c.
There's no "fresh" air being pulled from the outside but its definitely moving stagnate air.

Here's mine, doesnt hold a candle to yours...

And here's the fan

LOUD, put it on a fan controller
sweet mod i am doing something similar on my other project but with 2 120mm check it out its in my sig its called project x
imo i'de rather the saitek 2 gaming keyboard over the logitech one's.I Used both and they are to stiff for my liking. I haven't used the tarantula though can't coment on that. The eclipse has blue, purple and red lights can change via a button on the side...Quote:
