There was one sample I had that could only clock to ~485MHz FSB before it hit FSB wall.
It just happened to be the first CPU I selected, and the first CPU I put in the P5K Deluxe. Second CPU I grabbed from the tray and put in the P35-DQ6 worked fine. I still prefer the gigabyte board, but Im happy I didnt have to return a 2nd P5K Deluxe lol.
Anyway, rest assured that lame duck CPU is sitting at the bottom of my trash can now. Never again will that guy disappoint me. Thats the problem with doing benchies during weekdays.
Benchmarking + work + no sleep = bad.
