I'm guessing the teflon is used to cut down friction because duh it makes the gun more effective. But you can make lots of plastics pretty much any color...

geesh, i loaded this thread 6hours ago post one by ranker
read almost all post over there, came back page 4 already...
ranker, you must be a debate team candidate...
he has the points to win this... period you want silent in a loop you can do it easy with anything that isnt AC you want performance you have at most 3 brands out there that are top performes right now and guess what ac isnt there you want looks well depends on you taste i like even the tdx what can i say price lets no talk about that...
here we have the best community of water coolers around water isnt for silence only there is performance in it too, im sick of all this flow doesnt matter alu is good small tubing is the best maybe petra should make some tests including ac hw and see if they can get near close to a proper wc system in the price range..
R1ckCa1n is 2[H]4M3, fortunately :ROTF:
As opposed to a Thermochill PA120.3 with a DDC-1 pump with undervolted Yates? So we can pay an additional 400$ and have an external monstrosity to deal with? Especially when the alternative solution performs just as well and most likely better than the Aquaduct?
It seem as if over on the [H] thread you've resorted to personal attacks. Please stick to the arguments. Let me remind you that your favorite phrases are "2-3C difference between all AC components and top of the line components" , "2-3C won't make a difference in your overclock...but I change my mind now and I'll say a thermochill/laing/Swift/D-Tek build will be 3-5C better (pst, make up your mind) and yet it still WON'T AFFECT my overclock" and " low flow performance is equal to high flow performance".
Do explain as you keep dragging other stuff in that's extraneous to the argument at hand.
You don't even need a thermochill or a DDC. A zalman resorator or whatever would probably perform just as well if not better than that "aquaduct" POS. If everyone who bought an aquaduct whatever the hell it's called bought an actual radiator and pump instead and sent me the left over ~450 dollars I could get enough hardware to finally run for a top spot on the ORB and hwbot :woot:

So basically, me>hardforums
Law school, 4 years as a congressional intern, love of water cooling as a hobby, the hatred of the propagation of misinformation (let's not get me started on our current administration), and lots of experience in the business meeting boardroom... provides all the motivation, dedication, hopefully the experience to to disprove some of these myths that a select few continue to propagate at the expense of others (mostly new people seeking advice).
yeah, then nobody could sue anyone...no thanks ;)
hey, where did that post go?
EDIT from Vapor: don't call anyone a communist...IDK if that was directed at me, or the member who deleted his own post, so I'll let it slide.
Thank you for clarifying the tubing mishap.
But "silent" is an absolute, there is no "sorta silent," "really silent," or "ultra silent." What you have is an effectively inaudible loop, but not a silent one.
(Sorry for being anal about the second part, I spend just as much time on SilentPCReview forums as I do here)
After siding with Ranker so much because I agree with everything he has said regarding the topic so far , I thought it might be misinterpreted as sucking up to him.Quote:

I personally think all sorts of water cooling has a spot. If it dosen't fit in your grand scheme of things then don't buy it. As for the argument of steering noobies the wrong direction its untrue all newbies will make mistakes whether they are steered wrong or not.
I say this place as well as other places need to be more understanding. :yepp:
To be honest, I saw that thread when it was on pg 5 and was going to comment on how much the topic had swayed. I was thinking of just saying: "guys let's just help the thread starter."
It's really ridiculous. I recall seeing rickcain's post here: (though not in the same thread, it still reeks of BS): http://hardforum.com/showthread.php?...post1031101126
I mean, what the hell is he talking about?
Ranker, I think you need to give [H]ardforum a break man.:rofl:Quote:

btw ranker send me a PM where you bought all the stuff to control pump fans and the thing that shutdowns by hardware the pc

Used together, you can monitor every aspect of your water cooling setup and perform a hard shutdown in the event that a soft shutdown by the software in windows fails to respond.
Here are some other add ons you can purchase for it as well:

Agreed, lets get back to the main topic.
Rick, Please explain to all of us how 2-3C is all the difference between an all AC build and a build consisting of the top components. Please also explain how low flow gives exactly the same performance as high flow. In addition, please explain why one would recommend a product line that performs worse and costs more than the leading manufacturer and a given arena.
Anyone who's been at [H] long enough would know that this particular [H] thread isn't anything special...
...I've seen many AC vs. the rest of the world threads turn into... well... a war between AC fans and the rest of the world.
As a moderator who locked one of those threads once said, "another example of history repeating itself."
hey ranker thanks for the answer
^ In regards to the thread that I linked, rick mentions "failed overclock" without any introduction of what he's talking about.
Duh.. tube ID will not have an effect on failed overclock http://www.nvnews.net/vbulletin/imag...ies/retard.gif
It's a common tactic of his and others to use confusing round about double talk to "prove" his point whatever it may be. I'm still waiting for his official reply to the questions I raised about his faulty assumptions.
He'll begin with one argument, only to have it debunked...and then assert the opposite.
you want to win that debate hold one just one argument that you know they are dead wrong and keep it alive until they get tired of it and shut up because i know they wont change their pov
ranker i sent ya some pics. There my personal best on my E6600 and my Quad.
They always say pictures paint a 1000 words. Feel free to use any of them in your fight. Oh and my project onslaught pics are yours to use as well.
Regardless of which product is better it seems to me that generally:
HF values silence, manageability and looks over performance.
XS values performance over silence, manageability and looks.
I think people should be careful when talking against products aimed at values that they don't understand or care for.
Ranker, I think the way you are approaching the AC bashing is flawed. This is like me bashing the Reserator in SPCR land. SilentPCReview.com values silence while XS values performance. Some products/ideologies are interchangeable, some are not. Until you understand the appeal of the european values, you might not understand why people get AC, Alphacool, Zalman, passive rads, etc.
Wow! I thought I didn't have an account over here, but it appears that I do. :YIPPIE:
You really shouldn't sound off about technical matters you don't know about as it really makes you look technically incompetent. :ROTF:
The Aqua Computer Aquastream pump is not a Direct Current pump. It is in fact an Alternating Current pump. An alternating current pump RPM can be changed (or OC if you like) by changing the hertz rate of the electrical signal it is fed. Thus the Aquastream can be under or over clocked to suit the needs of the individual user.
The Aquastream does this through the use of a control module board. The newer versions of the board let you do this in certain steps through the use of a jumper. If you have an Aquaero or Multiswitch you can do this in 1 hertz steps.

American Sankey Commercial Keg Tap
Taps many American kegs to use with a CO2 system or our hand pump. This is the more expensive professional quality tap. Requires a beer nut (#KE30) for the liquid out side. Gas-in fits 5/16" o.d. tubing, will also fit 1/4" if tubing is streached.
