I'm gonna have to try to make it fit on the 2ndary PSU cutout on the motherboard side of the U2. I just hope it lines up nice. I'd hate for it to be misaligned and look like :banana::banana::banana::banana:.

I really regret the day I stumbled upon these forums. I believe my total spending for the past two months exceeds $10,000 on computer and watercooling components.

The company I keep here keeps introducing new "Cool Stuff" that makes me say "Hey, I want that in my sandbox too!". I keep trying to find reasons to build another system just so I can build another water cooling loop. I'm just so picky with my main system (I want it to be perfect) that it's taking ages to finish. I thought I was almost done until I saw Naekuh tell me that he found a source for an RD-30, and then someone else links me EK's all delrin top chipset blocks. Now I'm swapping out stuff for more stuff.

I'll probably want a custom Horizon next that will fit all three rads and have a back cut out to match the PA120.2. The only thing I don't like is that I'll probably have to buy a bigger desk as there is no way in hell I'm going to bend completely over every time I need to switch CD's. The 5-1/4" bays being placed on the bottom instead of the top sort of annoy me to the point where I won't pull the trigger on it.

I'm stuck on the above sentence. If I had gone with one simple loop like most sane individuals out there, I wouldn't have been stuck in a 2 month purgatory hell of a non finished, constantly being rebuilt system.

AHAHAHAAHHAHAHAHHAHAHA i was right there where i bolded. Until i figured out a loop hole to escape from.

Because normally after that last one, you go back to buys more stuff..

Ranker,

You need to find yourself a usb2/firewire2 case with four bays.. Mount four Plextors on top of your desk. I use two Plextors in a aluminum usb desktop case so that I never have to bend down and swap cds. Its most convenient.

I'm waiting impatiently for my 36 inch case, and then I want a 48 inch case. 4 feet high is cool.. swap cds by swiveling chair around heh.

Ranker,

Feel lucky you are still on gaming systems. I've caught the workstation bug now.. if you are into that, you'll be spending $10K at a time. The price tag is scary.. two cpus... $3200.. mobo... $600... ram.. must have 8 sticks... $1500 lol Eight cores at 3.6 GHz !

ahahaha... yeah wcg made me get this kents. Im looking very hard at penryn right now. Yorkies here i come. :D

Anyhow i got the matrix orbital installed and hooked up. The software is utter crap. Anyone else know of a better software for the lcd?

Also, anyone know how to connect 2 pin temp probes to these guys? i cant seem to do it.

okey so i orderd 2 temp probes from jab-tech.

PTS, didnt have blue and red ones i wanted to match coolant color.

Does anyone know if i can just spiice the two ends of the probes? I dont think i can remove the stock one.

You know Kentsfield. Well, the successor to Kentsfield is called the Yorkfield, which basically will continue to have a single socket on the mobo for four cores.

A Tigerton cpu also has four cores. Except, a Tigerton mobo has four cpu sockets. Therefore, a Tigerton system will have a grand total of... 16 cores in a single workstation machine or small server.

The latest price estimates for each four-core 2.66 Ghz Tigerton cpu is $2,800.. and you need four of them ... and that's without the motherboard rofl.

I want a new cpu block...why..why not

I trying to decided between the GTX and Fuzion...if you use the stock mounting mech. does the bowing on the GTX give a worthwhile performance boost over the fuzion
I will cool the items in my sig...except I will get a new case(v2100B) and add my PA120.3 and take out the PA160

maybe later I will get a quad core....

neal if your going to BOW, you need a backplate, and YOU need longer screws. There is no way out of this.

Gabe said he would release a backplate with the proper screws in a kit. I have yet to see it.

But take the bolts you get with the GTX and buy one 1/4-1/2 inch longer. That should fix all the mounting problems.

IF you dont use a backplate, the screws will work, however you will warp really bad. And if you use a backplate, the screws will be too short, and hence you will warp bad.

Well my backplate is a TT backplate with a neoprene cushion in the middle. I cant say the same about a scythe backplate.

Yeah thats what i did, and i got dual ddc+ and i got dual D5's, and i have a ehiem somewhere. :T

Now i want that alphacool 2 in 1 DDC+ top. But i think i'll drop that in another system. Im extremely happy with my RD-30.

Nice work ! I am using a transformer from the Alphacool Ap1510 to run the RD 30 in my wifes Gamer. works great. No outside plug in ! Turns pump on with PC .

Alex, or anyone else, can you guys confirm that this will work instead of having a meanwell? I'm seriously considering ditching my Iwaki since I can't find a place for the meanwell. I'd rather use something like this instead.

Turtle, does this device let you undervolt/overvolt as well?
