My old windows 2003 version (not the R2 one)
I'll post my O.S settings and tips later :)
@Enoc
2.9v, but 2.75v for the 1M is OK i think :rofl:
yes, sure. .844 / .843 at 3600MHz but .828 it's possible.
I'll try, but with 2.9v :eek: you know...
funny thing..today i was going to buy 2gb(4x512) of ballistix pc5300 hehe, 80$, not bad..just for benching :p:
thnx, i'll be waiting for that...
damn...2.7*2.9 vdimm heehhe :eek: , koda is at 844. , so its possible to go < hehe
keep it up :)
Sure, learn is right.
.828 is the goal
But not really easy to reach it (definitely .843 is my best for the moment) ;)
My latest effort with strap modding ;). Frequency is lower because of FSB-wall my CPU has - 514.4 was the last 1M benchable but with hmm... at least 15°C lower ;).
450x8 (3600) 1:1 @ 1066 strap was 15.438s
509x8 (3563) 1:1 @ modded 1333 is 15.391s :)

is this good? lol
XP SP2, tweaks are for 32M run except affinity to core1 :
No drivers (except Video)
Registry (nothing really special) : LSC=1 ...
Maxmem=600, no paging file
small HD (Hitachi 250) partition dedicated to SPI (around 10Gb).
And some patience (maybe 20 runs) ;)
I'm quite sure .828 is possible maybe with maxmem=104.
2K3 definitely is faster on average for me than SP2. Maybe if you switch to it you will get the 828. :p:
thx Gautam
I will try with W2K3 as soon as possible.
Which one is the best from your experience (if there is a difference) ?
Enterprise R2 ? Server SP1 ? another one ?
i think it's your maxmem value ;) :D :)
I hope it could help you dinos22 ;)
I don't think there's a difference. RIght now I'm using standard R2.
I think XP might be better for long calculations and 2K3 for short...
You probably have a better handle than me on this, but the two OSes actually seem pretty different to me in some circumstances. In 3DMark2001SE, server 2K3 behaves more like Win2K. It's not simply a matter of 2K3 being faster all around than XP.
Done: 13.844s 3600MHz
Minimize the super pi window size...
Dram static read control: fast, faster, it help a bit.

Finally, I broke the 14s wall... I must have had 14.000s for like 6 times or something, but I found the magic timing combo I guess... not bad for a 650i chipset right? :up:
