240Mhz @3.09vdimm:) THANKS macci
Thats where I toped out too Blue078 ! same timmings and all.
I can boot and run "some" benchies at 245Mhz but I ant gona lie and say it's was stable;)Quote:

I just need a faster chip, this 2.4 just dont have enuff horse power for me.
hehe, you probably just need better cooling on that 2.4 ! macci hit 4+ gig with a 2.4 and r404 promie !!!!
With watercooling this chip wont budge past 3.430mhz.
I have a 2.53C1 thats been happy for months at 3.6ghz on air.
So this chip has been a downgrade for me LOL!
OH ! didn't know you where using water. :(
what voltage are you at ??
thx major slaughter. i still got more tweaking to do but this is what i score from my pc3200 buffalo bh-5 winbond modules from newegg for $45 256mb. im running at 3.09v right now

Holly cow AZN, go to work and see if you can hit 7000 !!! hehe
Hey are you using the beta 1007.006 bios, it helps !

Azn, have you tried running your RAM at 1:1? ? ? Your FSB is impressive, but the bandwith on the memory is a little low. Try running the FAB at 236Mhz and Ram at DDR400 and see where your memory score go. I bet you can surpass 7K. . .
Major... So what kinda cooling are you using?? defaultQuote:

AZN.... WoW ! what else can I say, but Amazing:toast:
No I'm using water cooling, Swiftech MCW5000, Eheim 1260, 2xDTek heater cores
WOW ! I'm useing a MCW5000 also but no TEC, Eheim 1040 and a 80chevy PU heater core with 2 120mm fans for the rad.Quote:

That sounds like a good wc setup Blue !
I'm going to pelt my cpu next week and see what happens. If I'm not satisfied then I guess I'll have to find a way to fund a promie.
I had the money set aside last payday to get a promie and was going to put in with my NF7-S and XP2700, but I decided to go with the Intel mb and chip instead.
Nice OC AZN.....:toast: cant wait to sell my AMD stuff and get a 2.4c and P4C800..... at that speed AZN are you cpu or mobo limited? I wanna know if 300fsb is possible with vdimm mod and watercooling.....
Anything new on the P4P800 thingy, Oppainter?
Does this mod work here, too?
tnx, i hope it works :)Quote:

OPP
i can get into windows at 300fsb and so some screen shots but its not 100% stable. as of yet im not sure if the board or chip is limiting me at that speed. im still working on getting 300fsb stable.Quote:

what ram is the best to get now that we have all this voltage at our disposal?? :D (im leaning towards geil ultra plat 3500) also, where's a good place to get a high ocing 2.4c? thanks!
do you need special tools to vdimm mod? i can make my ram run at 2-3-3, but i cant get it to run at 2-2-2. id like to do it, but i have absolutely no idea how, thanks
AA, you dont need any special tools, you need a soldering gun, solders, some wires, and a 50K VR.
Study the pics in this thread carefully, locate LM358, clear your mind, try to have your hands as stable as possible, then just do it! Meditating is optional though.
You can probably also do it with SMD grabbers instead of soldering if you don't have any experience soldering.Quote:

well is there any benefit/noticable difference of running a high voltage thru your ram, just so you can get 2-2-2 timings? what do i have to do to the lm358?, remove it? if i did, would 2.85 VDIMM = 3.1? im not quite sure how i'd measure the voltage
btw my timings now are 2-4-4, ram is @ 370 Mhz, 1 512 stick of pc2700
AA I wouldnt recommend you to do the vdimm mod if you're running single channel. if you really wanna do the mod, then maybe like what Brainstorm says, get some SMD grabbers, DO NOT remove the LM358, use a pair of grabbers to grab pin 6 and the other to ground, you still need to solder a VR to both wires though. there are a few guides in the extreme guides section i believe.
