No Email notification

phcjpp, I see your set for "Daily email notification" you might want to check your spam folder just in case.. This type of notification will send you a bunch of emails to your subscribed threads at about midnight. I set mine up to instantly send an email.. So keep your eye out..

Millyons, I see your using gmail now so you'll have to keep an eye on your spam folder as well. Gmail does a great job of filtering out spam but when I first started to use it all my xs emails went into the spam folder. So you'll need to check them and say its not spam and eventually gmail will put them straight into your inbox.

i was getting them alright to gmail for a while and now nothing, it shouldnt be a spam issue unless sending email address was changed

edit: just checked not in spam folder

theres nothing wrong with my spam folders

i dont use a free account
my email is from a portuguese internet provider

this is the only forum where it happens

not even private messaging....:(

Im not getting any either.

I just cheked my setting and the email was already added to the safe list.

I tried turning notifcations off and on again. But it dosent seam like I can turn them Off :(

The fix works for me - gmail forwarding to hotmail.

so out of 6 private massages i received today ,i was notified once :)

mine seems to be working to .co.uk now, just had 108 + emails delivered going back a few weeks

I recived mine 00.14 this nigth.

A problem here is that lots of new members aren't getting their activation email. I bumped into this thread by accident so i knew about it. Using a private message i could get my account activated as I didn't want to make another account with a different mail adres.

This problem should be fixed asap, I doubt most new members understand what is going on.

Aapenootjes, sorry for you waiting but we do go through all the new member requests daily so they do get done. We never let them just sit there waiting to be added.. Besides, members arent automatically activated with that email we still need to approve them.

Some of the issues have already been corrected and lots of people are now getting their notifications but there are still a few things that need to be fixed. Which will happen soon:)

same settings for all suscriptions, and now i get emails for some but not for all, i havent goten a notification for this thread for a while

I don't want to be too argumentative, and I can tell you're all working this out. But it didn't seem to me that the new member requests are getting checked daily. It took about 5 days before I received an activation email, I almost gave up on it. But after the email came through, it did take less than a day for the administrator approval to get done.

I suspected the issues in this thread were probably related to the problem, but at the time I didn't see any posts to indicate anybody was aware of the effect it was having on new accounts. It was frustrating not being able to even send a PM to a moderator about it. I tried email but I'm not sure anybody saw that - the public email address probably gets a lot of spam.

As a general principle, wouldn't it be better if all accounts could send a PM to a moderator, even if their email hasn't yet been verified? I doubt anybody would waste their time sending spam to a mod's PM box. If that really were an issue, the number of allowed messages could be constrained.

yes,

all my settings are the same and like now i got a email notification for a thread in bandwith section that i posted in recently and a thread in mods section that i posted to a while ago but didnt get any email for this thread in a while
