Yep, looks much better now.
Been at full load for about 3 hours now. Temp is at 50/45. There is some room for ocing.
yeah !
overclock it and if you want, we can do a compare with kentsfield at same speed :)
Nice rig alucasa :)!
OWO!
Finally the quad fx ring is set!
The pic with the 2 9700 looks GREAT!
Waint for some Oc and benchs:)
Doesn't look bright for OCing.
I keep getting BSOD whenever I try to go over 3.0ghz. Even at 3.0ghz, it isn't completely stable, either.
Temp was becoming an issue also.
just a thought that might help

and 1.4vcore 3ghz ?
Yep, boots fine, but BSOD soon in windows.Quote:

nice 4x4!
why cant 2x kent go on that mobo? :(
cant wait for the quad-core..
And 65nm. Perhaps then my heat issue will be lesser.Quote:

Or hook them fans up to a fan controller and limit the voltage supplied to the fans.
Also i wouldn't be surprised if you were able to squise ~200mhz o/c undervolted.
amazing =) but dont the little fans make too much noise? i counted more than 4 little fan and 2 cpu and gpu and also for power supply?! you have a fan world there =))
it's all copperQuote:

With the tuniq's that way I think you could hit 3Ghz stable with good temps ..if they fit that orientation.

I am not afraid of importing though as I do a lot every month... except that I want to stay low this month. It has cost too much already and I have other builds to do.

Alucasa, why don't you turn the Zalmans 90 degrees so that they blow hot air OUT of the back of the case? That might help a bit?Quote:

Single CPU score.
E6600 : 414
FX-70 : 430
On stock speed.
Doesn't need to compare x CPU score since it's 2 core vs 4 core.
On 32bit emulation...
E6600 : 400
FX-70 : 388
alucasa , can you run 3dmark06 cpu score ? e6600 vs fx70
On stock setting,Quote:

There you go. I don't know how reliable these tests are since E6600 is dual core and FX-70 was quad core.
But then I am not even sure if 3D Mark 06 can take advantage of 4 cores.
So, believe what you'd like.
you are the man! you still using air cooling?
Yes, sir. Can't OC well with air cooling but it works.Quote:
