Any word on a new P5B-DLX Bios yet?

YES...YES...AND YES....

HOWEVER......

I reflashed 908 and so far ave been Orthos stable for 45m @ 3.6 FSB 401 @ 1.5v, 4:5 @ 501 (1003Mhz) 4-4-4-5 @ 2.3v.
Static Read Control: Auto
PCIe: Auto
PCI: Auto
Spread Spectrum: Auto

SO......go figure?????

My thoughts are that this GSkill PC-8000 does NOT like anything over 1000MHz @ 4-4-4-5. May try 1100+ @ 5-6-6-15 later.

OK @ the above settings, Orthos ran for 5 hours, 37 minutes, & 54 seconds before execution was halted and system rebooted itself.

What do I need to tweak to alleviate this?

Anymore updates on this bios? I am still waiting on a board to replace my bad p5b or I would try it out myself.

1 more notch on cpu volts reboot pretty much means cpu fail. and since you are @ 360 fsb i doubt it is nb.

Quest For Speed

I just flashed to 0908 and find that I am now stable 3.6@400 fsb at 1.44 vcore. Before with 0804 I needed 1.48 so this is a small improvement. Still have the 1x pcie problem when the VMCH is ran over 1.55v. I have the board vmodded and even setting bios at 1.45 and raising the NB voltage to 1.6 using my VR causes the problem.

I think my stability problems stem from this :banana::banana::banana::banana:ty ass GSkill RAM I have.
It is supposed to be PC-8000 @ 4-4-4-5 2.4v, but if you even run it at 1000 @ 4-4-4-5 @ 2:3 or 4:5 it STILL corrupts data and is unstable. RMA here I come NewEgg.

I put some old OZC 5400 and am running rock solid @ 3.6 now.

I doubt it's the memory's fault. It's most likely the chipsets inability to deal with the divider, as is commonly known with these boards. If you had a 975x or 680i, I bet you're ram would easily do what they are supposed to and more.

I tried 1:1 with the GSkill overnight and MB was locked up this AM. I had to pull the damn battery to do a CMOS reset to get it to POST!

If it does it again with the OCZ @ 1:1 it's going to get it's ass replaced!

I tried bios 910, but for some reason it seemed to bluescreen where 908 was fine.

It's like the 908 Bios left some in that the 804 does not write over....

I think sometimes it's just coincidence or the changes back and forth between bioses that may result in these sort of problems which are probably not caused by the bioses themselves.

The GSkill is great memory. I am using the same ram and I am currently running 5-5-4-5@1200(2:3)400 fsb 2.25v.
It is possible you have a bad stick. You have to test each one to be sure.

I don't have a floppy drive and for some reason the EZ-Flash just does not work with my PNY usb stick(atache 1 gig) so has anyone actually successfully flashed the 0908's using the asus update program?

Use the latest version of Asus update(7.09.02). To be safe set the bios to defaults first and then boot into windows and then flash. I have flashed 0908 and 0910 without a problem.

Well....all I know is I can run this ole OCZ PC-5400 @ 1:1 @ 700Mhz for 6 six hours Orthos blend. yet the GSkill PC-800 will not even do 900 for more that a few minutes.....

After alot of headaches with 910 I flashed back to 804. Then no post, then the failed bios error...flashed to 302 from cd, post, flash 804 from floppy, no post failed bios..flash 302 from cd again, post boot, flash 804 from AsusUpdate in XP...all is ok. WTF is this??? Bad bios img on floppy?

AND NOW my GSkill seems to be running ok @ 4-4-4-12 2.25v 1050, FSB 350 X6800 3500MHz 1.5v, sb, nb, etc.. auto. Orthos ran for 4hrs 12min before failure.
How can I get this more stable now?

Nothing's wrong with 4/5. I run @ 1060mhz 4-4-4-12, 2.4v memtest/superpi stable, with my SuperTalent PC6400 (5-5-5-15 but with D9GKX). Chipset voltage @ 1.65v, bios 804.
Have u tried other ram?

Anyone have any idea why in cpuz it lists my ram as pc2-6400 but when I boot up it says I'm running at pc 4600 AND my ram is actually OCZ-Platinum pc8000...?
