965 and 975 is much different

965 from 400 to 401 = bad proformance

So Coolaler and OPB didn't answer the question when asked? What's the use of putting this suspicions up, when all we can do is guessing about the truth?

I'm convinced that opening this thread was a bad idea. Also, the startpost seems to say that Coolalers and OPB's results are cheats. I know it doesn't say it, but it seems to suggest it according to me and some others in this thread. It's a personal opinion and not a fact, but opinions are just as important.

I recommend that the startpost should be edited at the very least. It would be better to completely close the thread until you have had some more conversations with OPB and Coolaler.

Can you please explain to me what the purpose of this thread is? I don't understand it really......

Unappropriate section for thread like this.. - And unappropriate threat.. If OPB did cheat, which I want comment if I belive or dont, you should contact him, and ask him to explain himself, if refusing, then stating him as a possible cheater, but not puttin it in THIS section, jebus christ.

Ok, let me get this straight. OPB & Coolaler need to post their tweaks or else they are labeled cheaters? Unfair, don't you think? It is clear from their threads, that they both spend a LOT of time and money overclocking. OPB/Coolaler even posted threads in the Spi section explaining how to get lower spi times.

So, the only choice they have is to spill their tweaking secrets so that everyone can have them. Yeeeah, I'm sure he wants to do that.:rolleyes:

This thread just confirms that coolaler and opb is superior when it comes to superpi. As it's stated by moderators, they don't blame them for cheating they just says it's something that makes them better then others.

Well i don't think they are, their superpi time before "The One" are poor, just a few month before WR his spi times were as good as average clocker so don't tell me that he figured out the whole secret in 2 months while he was notoriously trying to reach highest C2D x6800 frequency.

And I did try all of his tweaks and I can tell you they don't work not nearly as good as he said. And I wasn't the only one to try them.
There are a couple of statements regaring some other settings about superpi performance that just didn't get true

By making accusations like this in a public section, I wouldn't return to XS either. All this thread did was make XS lose 2 very respected and top tier overclockers and spi freaks.:( Both were huge assets to XS and likely won't return to all the flaming. I agree with everything NICKE^ has said.

I don't know much about how i965 works, but before is clearly the highest besides OPB and coolaler clock-for-clock. He also has by far the highest ram frequency of anyone in his clock range.

For me it's not important to "investigate" because I'm not even trying to compete in the top for overclocking since I clearly not got skills for it.
For you who want to reach the top spot it is probably very important to know how they do it.

People are talking about THE TWEAK, have it accured to you it might be more then one?
I can't say he doesn't cheat because then I would lie since I got no proof he doesn't. I can't say he does because I don't got proof.
All I can do is believe what he says as I do with 99% of you guys.
I don't have the "need" to question people for their results, I'm just trying to be happy for them since they achieved something good.

Why do you want to investigate in this? To know if they cheat, to know if it's a bug or to get their tweaks?

I'm not saying that you believe they cheat, I just made a question like you.
I hope you're not angry with me because I don't mean to harm anyone or offend.

I think they feel disrespected this way. Especially when I know for a fact that the results are genuine, that's all I can say. Respect to OPB.

You don't see them posting much lately, do you?:stick: Not gonna make that much of a difference, as such has happened in the past before. Someone will step up and take thier place. Last year this time it was two very different names stealing teh show, then OPB first and then coolaler stepped up.

Irregardless not all of us only read english.:D

Besides, if they have the honor they try to portray, they'd not be insulted by this, and would take this thread as a compliment.:fact: It's quite the thing to have you peers fear you...

Well it depends ussually of the memory used, when i compared tras 1 vs 4 i got ussually better results with tras 1, but hardly noticeable, that could depend on the sub timmings also.

you all know that right at that very moment, eg. Kyosen can set a Superpi 1M WR with just 5GHz (or 4GHz oz 3GHz) x6800, aparently with the help of some software.

so he is using software = tweak, checked = legal

so there is no point of runnin Superpi anymore

Show me the tweak that drops the time by four seconds at the same speed yet score is lower?

the guys deserve some respect. Should not have been doubt amongst the readers in any case. Let's hope they come back to XS. I have contact and I can tell you there's no need to regard them cheats if they don't reveal their methods, that's all I can say, I don't have permission to go further, my friendhip has some principles for a start. If this is not factual enough for you then it's too bad.

Then XS has some work to do since they're the author of SuperPi Mod.
I bet they already know the program and that should make them have a clue how it works and try to block it.
I don't know a jack about programming but I hope they will be able to block the cheating programs somehow.
