are there any difference between the acrylic and acetal covers, i'm gessing that
the acetal covered blog is a bit more durable. any views on this?
The biggest advantage is mechanical properties at lower temperatures. And less crackable compared to acrylic material...Quote:

just ordered my first ever gpu block,, i get myself the best christmas presents lol
i received today a package from New York, YEEES my XFX geforce 8800gtx had arrived. the craphic nirvana awaits.
i'm so ordering a asetal covered EK block for it.
btw EK's new slogan should be "buy the BEST fu*k the rest" cos lets all face the fact these block's rule.
Got it running now. Temps have dropped to around 45°C under load at 650/1000 stock volts, room temp of just under 20°C. It was around 90°C at 625/1000 with the stock cooler and a room temp of around 21°C, so a fantastic result there IMHO.
Many thanks Eddy, keep up the great work.
nice EK
EK - any plans to make a block for those that wish to remove the 8800 IHS?
removing the IHS in the 8800 is A SERIOUS PAIN IN THE ASS I KNOW~
I need precise height of GPU core, the rest is no problem.Quote:

Regarding the EVGA 680i motherboard with EVGA 8800GTX GPU: Have you found any solution for water cooling the southbridge chipset that sits partially underneath the GPU card in slot 1? Will any of your chipset coolers fit underneath the GPU with a GTX water block installed?
An EVGA tech told me he was able to cool the northbridge chipset with a DD product, but he had to cool the southbridge with a fan due to the proximity of the GPU in slot 1.
Thank you for your time.
Here you have solution - MIPS-COMPUTER:Quote:

I think the point of that is so it does not block the first graphics card, not for those who want SLI.Quote:

I like the solution but its very tight fit even so...
yeh i have one in my passive office-system, looks like it is made for 8/6 mm tubing, nothing to use in an high-end system:fact:Quote:

Has anyone from Canada ordered from EK? If yes how much was shipping and duties??
I have too have the acetal 8800GTX block, but have no idea ho much it would cost.
If anyone in Canada wants to split an order, I would be up for that. Need to finnish my loop and need a whole bunch of little stuff like a res and barbs.
turtletrax looks like it whould be 11.43 € (17.57 cad) to ship to canada for the gtx block, propaply more i you deside to order more stuff from them.
