Hey S_B, on 975 it's generally faster to run 1:1 with tight latencies.Quote:

which is why people with 6300s don't buy 975x boards.Quote:

Meh.. Helped a friend setup his 6300 system with a P5W-DH.. he runs 24/7 @ 475 fsb stable. The fact that the old bios on that board couldn't get past 320fsb is not a statement about the 975x. I know the 965 is best fr max fsb, but 320mhz is no where near the limit of what the 975x is capable of.Quote:

And i can't find EIST on this board i disabled C1, when i priming according to core temp my temps is 53c on both cores. any ideas? it's something i missed in bios setup:/ well great board anyway changed from AW9D-MAX but getting frustrated now when i can't find the setting....
I've noticed clockgen doesn't work right with my board, if I open it up, it defaults to 2.4 after being clocked at 4ghz from bios, it's a bug with the software I think, and although I don't have the new rev, it's def got alot of changed comp from the original board I had. :D
Clockgen does the same thing on mine. Just run it up to what ever you have set in bios and start working from there, it still works fine like that. I boot at 410 and clockgen to 455-460 or whatever I'm wanting.Quote:

Dont know if this was mentioned yet, but theres a thread on DFI Street about using hacked drivers to use SLI on this board.Quote:

I've been trying this bios and I've been having problems. I think one of my sticks of ram died cause of it and when I get to 400fsb or higher it only detects one core on my e6600. Has anyone else seen this happen?
***edit***
It seems to be affecting my video card as well (7950gx2). Only the first half is working, reinstalling the drivers did nothing, not even the control panel is there. Gonna switch back to a previous version.

I can't change it with my E6600 so I doubt if you can do it with E6700. :(Quote:

I am trying again at read delay 6 instead of 7 " 4-5-5-12. ras to cas 5 and ras to p 5 are mandatory over ddr1100 at 2.5vdimm, it's just the limits of the chipset. For benching more should be obtainable, I guess 1.79v is the max stable that the digital buck controller can push, without mods that is.
To date I have not seen many if any boards that manage drr1100 or so at cas4 on the 1066 strap for 8 hours orthos, so this board is really something (even if it does need a mod). This has got me curious of the b rev, as I am still on the a...
Hopefully someone can get a a vdroop mod cpt...

My board is AL0 rev. Somebody at the factory has penned in "L" over the 2nd 0.
that's a strange one..
Well, with an EE C2D its no wonder really. :)Quote:

the es's boot up a little easier on this board, I have an es too, but I'm now using a retail, Stability wise I can get both to 460fsb rock solid, but the es will boot on cold boot and reset a lot easier than the stepping 6...
the a stepping retail runs real cool in comparison to the es. Even on my evap the load temps are better volt for volt..

does anybody know if there is any windows FSB ocing program around like clockgen for this board?
Thanks in advance!
I use clockgen..you have to setup its clock chipsetQuote:

im using this board and im new to intel over clocking. If im not running 1:1 and using the 667 strap is the memory still running what cpuid says or is there another hidden divder like using a half multy on the amd rigs
I have my ram fsb @385 but the ram @482 5-4-4 (I cant go 1:1 because im using air and my setup tops out @ 3.5)
am I really running the ram that fast or is it only with 1:1 that speed?
So, did anyone tried what this new bios can do without the northbridge mod? Should be useful info for those without moding skills :D
