I was wrong, I tried it and it wouldn't boot. To fix: put a good stick in and boot... Flash back to original spd......

I'm getting the no memory modules found, incompatible smbus driver - it's under Vista.

Is there any chipset driver I can install to fix this or am I SOL?
I need to flash some chips :(

It's an intel 845 chipset I'm trying to do it on.

I just tried it in Windows XP 32-bit and it didn't detect my crucial memory.

I see you have maximus and it works on it no problems here :) Are you using latest 0.62 version?

0.55 doesn't appear to work on my MSI K9A2 Platinum (with a 6000+ Windsor F3)
it says "Could not start driver: This diver has been blocked from loading"

I'm using XP x64 with SP2

In my search, I found this site and it goes over the basics of SPDTool:

I had kind of worked through SPDTool basics on my own going step by step through the hex table and was merely trying to match two sets of similarly timed DDR to run at 400mhz on an MSI board I like. But that page seemed to cover the essentials.

have you checked in your bios under security to see if the SMbus is being hidded from the system. cause if it is you will get that error, make sure its not hidden

cause i use to get that but remembered that it was being hidden from the system in bios.

SPDTool does not support P45 chipset.
