I heard Newegg and ZZF are shipping out Week 28B now right?
Hit or miss. A few people ordered from newegg after they heard the same info & got "A's":rolleyes:Quote:

makes mine seem really :banana::banana::banana:ty @ 3400Mhz with 1.38 or so, wont go much higher, probably temps, but who knows. I dont really feel like ripping it apart to lap it, and not like i can't tear through anything @ 3400Mhz, (actually leave it @ 3200Mhz for 24/7 low volt operation (1.289 or so) aned thats just dandy. would love a 3800 or 3600 24/7 chip though, may have to pick another one up in 6 months or so if the yields are improving still
I have a L628A379 sitting here How are these doing ? high oc?

got a week 31A from newegg last week. running stable at 514x7 - 3.6 w/ 1.44v (loaded w/ vdroop -1.48v set in bios). don't have the cooling to do 1.6v and up so no idea what it will do with more volts. moral of the story - no sure bet on a B chip from newegg right now, but this A chip is doing 3.6 24/7 so no complaints.
i have the e6400 L629b655 what can i expect from these?
And the same mobo and ram what you have REVV23!

Revv23,
Have you grabbed a 680i board yet, or are you waiting the RD600? I have yet to find my max orthos blend stable for my cpu. I haven't had a board that can do a high enough FSB. My P5B was stable up to 450FSB. I thought that was the chips limit @ the time. Later, on a 680i board, I got 465FSB orthos stable. But 465FSB was the max for that board. Hoping the FSB's on the RD600 are stable:)
im waiting for my tuniq tower and case! my question is, is it likely to be able to overclock it to 3.ghz or more?

I dont want a 680i because its so slow. ill get an rd600 if they prove to be good chipsets.
I'm going to have a little overclocking session this week hopefully so maybe i can learn a bit.
It would not surprise me if the motherboard was limiting my 24/7 clocks, this p5b sure is finicky.
 Wow,can a DS3 with Tuniq Tower do that OC,if not modded?I was able to OC @ 3812 MHz WITH STOCK INTEL FAN:fact: ,even with D9 memory...And how can I find info about my E6400,which is B2 stepping 6?
so when i go for my e6400 i should ask for 'B stepping' ? :o
im buying it together with a gb gs3, and g.skill 2gb hz :p
^ i think all the retail ones should be B2 stepping
anything else i should ask for? L28 maybe?
If you can pick your stepping the L628B seems to be the best clockers. Now that the Asus P5B has come down in price in some places, I think I'd go for it over gigabyte's DS3.
I agree with nemesis, i havent seen any certain week cpu's clock like the 628b ones as consistently.
and i ended up getting a "A"Quote:
