i've settled at this as 24/7..............................
really slow fans, 5xdrives installed, closed case, other two PCs running under the desk bla bla bla, 20-25C ambients during the 24 hour period

donno if CPU temps are correct but motherboard are not that's for sure........measured a lot more than 28C........more like 40+C heh

I was just messing with a Sony SZ18GP today and thought I'd see if that asus wireless adapter is any good...................and i can tell that it isn't just good but excellet. I am really blown awayhow strong the reception is fromthe antenna. I've actually got the antenna behind the LCD screen and am sitting in a bedroom which is behind 3 separate double brickwalls. Nowmajority of dedicated APs i used including some pretty funky Cisco ones with dual antennae really struggle to send a strong enough signal to that part of the house and this mother has half the lines of the signal and absolutely no dropouts whatsoever with full encryption and all.............really great......'

About the P5B WI-fi function also, it says everywhre in the box and manual that it can be used "even when the computer sleeps" ... how is that?? windows xp sleep = standby, but when I standby it obviously turn the hardware off, so the wireless conection shuts down... how is that???
about the overclock... how are you guys getting ~530mhz from the P5B?? my wi-fi cannot do anything over 455mhz!!! I really really don't believe that this ir right... there must be something i'm missing... is it possible to be processor related problem? my E6400 is week L628A, some people say that B processor's are better... anyways, is it possible that it's a processor wall, not mobo wall, in the 455mhz range?
3.640 mhz isn't too shabby
to check the fsb limit drop the multi a notch or two and make sure you have ram that can handle the speeds, some people have trouble around 466fsb
I personally made it up to around 502fsb with the x8 multi but not stable at all and using 1.7vcore in bios
ok but even with that test I cannot afirm if it's a cpu limit or mobo limit, because there's a limit of fsb that the processor can handle, i.e. a processor can handle 445x9 but cannot 500x8 9 (that's just an example, I know that some processor handle much more than 500 ;) )
i think asus is referring to AISleep function which is not a complete shutdown like certain standby statesQuote:

my combo of hardware performs above average but it isn't the best as i've seen people do a lot more on air..........CPU is probably limiting FSB at such high levels as another guy that signed up to this thread let us know.......he tested more than half a dozen CPUs and only one managed 530+
so probably it's my CPU that can't handle 460mhz FSB?
