Actually I spent the 6 hours trying to get a stable OC which still isn't happening reliably.Quote:

WTF? What he's saying is true. Confirmed on the other thread and my personal experience. Check it out! What he shared was very important.Quote:

(Stats. from Everest.)
I don't think you can make a general statement like that. No offense but I'm running 400x8 at default voltage. I haven't flashed to F4 yet. I'm still on F3, but CPUZ shows default voltage, even after 15 hours of dual prime.Quote:

Core Temp reports the temperatures at 34C and 32C at full load it barely breaks 40C
How do you guys get CPU-Z to show the correct voltage? Mine shows the same no matter what I do :( I have to use Asus PC Probe II to get a voltage readout.
By the way, what exactly is the default voltage for Core 2 Duos? I've seen .85v all the way up to 1.35v on Intel's site.
My CPU is nice,too!!
I'm at 8x438MHz right now, week25 CPU on Asus P5W DH BIOS 1101, vMCH = 1.65V, vCore = 1.45V in Windows/PC Probe II (set to like 1.4625 in BIOS), memory runs with a divider at 657MHz CL4-4-4-16, too bad it won't do 1:1...
It is prime stable, but I only had it running for 1.5hours, I had do cancel it because I wanted to game... :-P
I will try it longer later on...
And I wanna do vMCH mod on my board and get some watercooling to it... ;-)
Vmch an other voltages if set to Normal also increase (vmch Normal = +0.3V) if you overclock. And don't trust cpuz, just use DMM :)
That's related to the DS3 posts, right?!?!Quote:

How do you even know what places to measure with the DMM? I never figured that out :(
Excuse my ignorance, DMM?:confused:Quote:

F1 through F3 I have left everything in the BIOS set to normal or auto and just adjusted the FSB to 400MHz.
I just rebooted and manually set my voltage to 1.325v The computer still runs fine at 400 x 8 and CPUZ's voltage went from reporting 1.296v to 1.312v. I think I'll set it back to normal. LOL If CPUZ is right, manually setting it to 1.325v actually increased the voltage from what I was running before. :) Easytune 5 still reports 1.31v.

Dual Prime large FFT failed after 40 minutes at 1.1v, so I bumped up the voltage by one notch. I'm not sure how stable this overclock is yet (I'm dual priming right now), so I'll edit this post once I get results.
Super Pi 1m in 22 seconds.
Yeah, DMM = Digital multimeter. Check mods section (also sticky threads in Intel section) for places to check your vcore, vdimm, vmch etc :)
I have week 26, I can easily hit 500fsb. OC results will be later :)Quote:
