That's cool... I'll try it out on my board once I get it back. Btw, how to check the original resistance? Is it through the jumper or through the IC/choke?Quote:

+1 i'm probably gonna get that POS ASRock for my transition to the E6300 because i can use that same board with a smithfield 820 i have when i upgrade my board for the conroe. what i want to know is between this board and the 965P DS3, which is a better bang for your buck?Quote:

Nice board, thanks Stilt for making me want one when I already have two Conroe compatableboards :)
Can you elaborate on this? A physical change or mod? Same on every 965 mobo? Not just putting the second card in the short 4x slot?Quote:

Vdimm mod done with an 50K vr , But to do 2.4v i had to lower vr to 1750 Ohms.
After that goes up very quickly like the stilt said.
Why dont use 5K vr in place of 50K ?

Hyvä! Looks tempting :)
are you guys actually able to cold boot with FSB settings above 400 ? 450 ? 500?
meaning set it in the bios. go into windows. power down. power back on and everything boots 100%.
no cold boot screw ups like the DS3 where anything over 400 it wont boot ?
Stilt awsome thread, but i read on biostars website that it has vdimm up to 3.1v with just mooving a jumper, why mod it?
