is there any way to tell what version the board is off the box? had mine since the first day the released them here last week so i doubt its anything but latest ver but still wanna check if there is a way.
The Sticker on mine says 601-7246-020**********
im wondering wether 601 is bios number, i know 7246 is the board number, and 020 is version 2, does anyones say 021 or anything like that?
ones selling at ncix are listed as part number MS-7246-020, cant tell which ones are on newegg.
why dont you just open it and check on the board
and again i say msi is a great company and ive never had any probs with their boards
I wont have my board tomorrow...supplier is messing me around. :(
Good idea Strife lol, yea its 2.1 as well for me, now is there a way to figure out the bios version from the board or the box?Quote:

i should be getting my 66 along with ds3 and msi, not sure msi ver thats why im grabbing both and am looking at pick up on friday/saturday
but i think if the msi board is ver2 i wont even bother with the ds3 and either not buy or sell it
eWiz decided to let me order the board with it being out of stock. They failed to notify me it was out of stock and the only reason I found out was because I cheched the status online. They now have it in stock but there's another dilema. Seeing as how I'm moving on Friday, unless I pay out the ass for shipping, there is no way I can get this board this week.:banana::banana::banana: eWiz and their :banana::banana::banana:ty inventory system.
It's in stock? where?Quote:

What good is it being in stock when it's not even listed on their webpage-.-
Ok, I'm typing on the new rig and so far so good. I think the board is bios 700, hard to tell cuz the 0 kinda looks cut in half like a 1... Anyway I have to dig around for the chipset drivers as the ones on the disk did not list 975 as one of them:confused: I will be back with some benchmarks as soon as I figure out how to overclock an Intel board LOL. If anyone has questions they would like answered let me know.
can you tell me the first three numbers on the sticker off the front off your box? mine are 601, just tryin to figure out if those numbers reflect the bios.
it looks like this: S/N 601-7246-***********
Whats the distance in mm between the PCIe slots ;)
Hi all,
Just buy 975x PowerUp Edition, and Allendale 6300.
In my box s/n is :601-7246-020K0607xxxxxx
Inches x 25.4 = mm :DQuote:

btw...where i can get bios 711? because my bios ver is still 700...
Mine starts with 601 as well. Memory defaults to 1.9 volts, however it was enough to get my ram to post.
yea rodmans back
we been waiting for you, if you dont mind could you take some pics please
1.9v is better than 1.8v
whats the max for ram volts
also dont forget to change ur sig
Max FSB that can be selected is 550, lol.

i dont really wanna bug but could you give us some results please im dying here
I'm downloading a bunch of stuff including Dark Messiah demo. I'm a noob when it comes to overclocking Intel chips. Any help would well...Help. I checked the max voltage for cpu and it's 1.58, ram is 2.4. I think I know what to do but the ram thing is messing with me. On auto the ram is 667, on 1to1 its 533:confused: Is there anything I need to know other than FSB, Ram speed and timings and voltages on both. I thought there were a few other things to consider wile overclocking on an Intel chip. Give me a little push here people. Also how are you stress testing duel core cpus, Super PI seems to use only one, I never liked Prime. What do you people run for a stress test for 24/7 gaming rig?
thats cause at 1:1 and stock speeds fsb is 266 so ram is at 266x2=533
if you boot fine at 1:1 now just raise fsb for now you should be able to raise fsb to 333 and would give ur ram the 667(stock speed for it i believe)
also give full specs ram cpu gpu ect
o you might wanna raise ur cpu volts in bios but i think you should try and set ram 1:1 and in bios change fsb to 333 without changing volts on anything
