Look like this board isn't that crapy after all. What your VCore set at ?
well i had troubles booting before with 667 divider but no biggie for me since this board can't handle my ram very wellQuote:

Can you explain your reboot symptoms in more detail? I've had it reboot several times while sucessfully running orthos/prime/spi at clocks and voltages that were 100% stable under 0213. Does it reboot randomly, after a certain amount of time, or under specific loads? Congrats on the oc success so far. Keep it up :)Quote:

about the reboot..i meant...if u restart your system..normally it doesn't turns off the pc then turns on after a sec..usually just do a cycle if u reboot..but i'm having this now..but not always..just sometimes
1.6V ? what kind of cooling you have for that !
also, did you tried to bump the FSB voltage ? They give you 0.15V more in this Bios, maybe it could be useful :p:
WC anyway with 1,6 on bios i have 1,51 in idle and 1,49/1,5 on full..damn vdroop :slap:Quote:

Hit 3.2ghz but 2.9 ghz with spi stable. I couldn't even run spi 16k at 2.8 before this bios.
32M does finish a few loops b4 i get bored and close it. I set the vcore at 1.7v (probe shows 1.58ish) and FSB termination to new max. I touched the HSF at max temp on the fins, base and heat pipe -they're barely warm. I will try 2.9ghz at Multi of 6 by bumping up the fsb (don't think my ram can do it though). Pics:

tried to prime 470x8 6x 7x doesn't work..even 30 sec
dropped to 450x8 7x 6x,,still can't get it it does only around 3 mins :(
going to drop again :(
yea Prime is a :banana::banana::banana::banana:. My Celeron 341 (2.9Ghz) is doing 4.2Ghz fairly easy, but isn't prime stable until I drop to 3.65Ghz.
Can't have everything..
now prime works 440x7 ..but not 8x..gonig to increase vcore and check if helps :D
How long do you run prime ??????Quote:

Who cares about prime w.e that is. Just run your fav game and see if it is ok.
I wonder what was in the bios that would not let my pc run stable at 2.8ghz 400x7? Now all of a sudden I run 415x7 stable when the highest I could run stable was 2.6ghz. That's a 300mhz increase in overlock just cause of bios! So they are actually putting some kind of limitations in the bios they can easily remove. I know my PC can do better. The heatsink never gets mildly warm even.
I would make a post about it on Asus but their forum is rediculously slow.
I'm sure Asus wants their board to compete better whith the DS3.
Asus wouldn't intentionally gimp their bios so that they could subsequently improve it over time. They are trying to improve it to meet customer expectations. After all we aren't exactly running these motherboards/cpus under normal circumstances.
Well I'm off to try flashing the new bios again ::crosses fingers::
Well wouldn't you know it actually works this time? No reboots and I'm currently at 8x400 (e6600) and 1.525 volts in bios (vdrop under load is .1 or more). Some more memory voltage would definitely be appreciated as my Team just won't do 3-4-4-8 at 400fsb.
Dude, that's exactly what they did. It's not the first time. There is a bios modder who removes these for people I think his name is tictac but only award bioses. Can you or anyone tell me what they can do in the bios code to all of a sudden let me overclock by 300mhz and superpi magically shuts up about the converging error? There must be something in there. I mean if you have the correct hardware and you cpu and chipset doesn't get hot, and you have the mobo and cpu voltage up the wazoo, what is keeping me from doing 3.2ghz stable? I could've asked the same question when the first bios had a wall at 325, then 385, then 400, now 475. I'm telling you it's in the bios code.Quote:

Heck i will be very happy if this board can get a E6400 prime stable @ 450fsb :toast:Quote:
