I'm pretty anxious to see the results from Fugger too - I still use my IC7-Max 3 and NF7-s 2.0 daily. Being an old fan of ABIT, I'd like to see them put something good together before I jump into a new Core2 box.

At this stage a motherboard needs no less then two PCI slots until there has been more time for manufacturers to transition to PCI-E.Quote:

That's why you are seeing mediocre performance in comparison to some of the results here, for the record we already know that not all boards of the same model overclock to the same level. The Asus Conroe supporting board proves this.

Hi,
I assume none of the guys here have any review samples of the AW9D Max yet, otherwise we would have an idea how well it should overclock..
Most of the current Crossfire supporting boards are showing inconsistency over 400fsb, especially without hard mods.
I would love a board that can hit 450fsb consistently with Crossfire and Raid 0 running at the same time.

hey tictac have you heard of any new bios's coming out anytime soon to address proper timings set in the bios. a guy over at ocforums said that when in bios timings set to 4-4-4-12 would actually be 4-4-4-10. this was a issue with the lg-81 mobo i have until about the last bios release for it i think.
Wait for RD600/SB650 maybe... http://www.ocworkbench.com/2006/ati/rd600/g1.htmQuote:

I've been testing out this Abit AB9 Pro tonight and it definitely needs another BIOS update. Serios memory related issues. I can't get both sticks of this OCZ PC2-6400 XTC Platinum to run together in dual channel. It just boots to a black screen and hangs. I got it to work with just one stick though. BIOS detected voltage at 1.8v but i changed that to 2.1v and that's not the problem. Seems this board has issues with DDR2 800 anways. I'm in windows now and it works alright at stock speeds but it wont let me overclock this E6300. The memory will run at 2:3 400MHz at default but i switch to 1:1 and try a FSB of like 320MHz or something and its unstable in Windows. Looks like more then just one or two issues with this board at the moment but hopefully a BIOS update will fix them real soon and i'll post a thread with overclocking results once i can actually do something with this board.
I installed my first TT Big Typhoon on this thing today and i was a little freaked at the fact i think i warped the top of the motherboard around the socket area just a little bit with tightening the bolts down to the board lol. I guess it wont hurt anything. Seems to be working fine in that regard anyways.
