I don't know why they left one SATA port out. There are actually six SATA headers on the board. Two are designated for EZ RAID. Another header can be used with an external SATA device to form another RAID array. There's also an external SATA port.
Beautiful watercooling systems :p
The 4th Sata provides a seamless link to the SIL 4723 SATA chip. It is then able to do raid across ICH7 SATA drives seamlessly.
PS I'm still on the fence about 590/SLI vs the P5WDH...
My board seems to arrive next week :D
The OC features are OK; most of the features you need are covered. Voltage change for CPU, Mem, MCH and southbridge. I can't remember exactly everything, but there's enough features for decent overclocking. Its not a DFI, but still...I think most will be happy with it. Seems very stable too, not a hitch up yet.Quote:

anyone think there will be better boards for overclocking conroe released between now and end of july (or 1st week in august)?
I dont expect to see any new boards anounced until Autum now. There are loads comming. I expect to see a new generation ready for Xmas
Yes, next week I will receive my Asus P5W DH :D
simonmaltby, not neccesarly asking about new boards being anounced just released (ie msi's 2nd generation 975x which seems to be working well with kentsfield, gigabytes new 965 and 975 boards)...
Ah ic.... i recon if the boards were at Computex they will be released in July / August. Anything that was not displayed, in some form, there will be later in the year.Quote:

zzf has it in at $279, I will wait for the price to move to something more reasonable (either there or newegg or somewhere else I have used before, ewiz seems to have good raitings unless you need to rma something so I am somewhat warry).
