Looks tasty man. Clever mounting.
Those are some real nice results too. Ballistix are rocking on that board. I tried some patriot's, but the Corsair smoked them.Quote:

Yes I'll get you a screenie in a bit. Water is all ready to go but I'm playing a bit of CS first :p:Quote:

Ok heres the deal. I can run 571mhz 4-4-3-5 TRC=11
http://afireinside.evilspork.net/AFI...71improved.JPG
Now TRC=11 when I clockgen to 3ghz = REBOOT
So I run through 32m at 3ghz 1.675v on water with the ram 4-4-4-8 TRC=12 and brought the TRRD to 4 as well. This one's for you Perkam ;) 8k sandra
http://afireinside.evilspork.net/AFI...4-32m-band.JPG
Then I ran 3d01 (stock x800pro)
http://afireinside.evilspork.net/AFI/AM2/3004-3d01.JPG
Same exact score I got at 2.85ghz 571mhz ram 4-4-3-5. Seems that 3d01 loves it's mem clocks...
Now I drop down to 4-4-3-5 and bring the TRRD back to 3 and start 32m. About half way through it round errors. I set TRAS=8 and it crashes after a few loops. At this point I couldn't even clockgen to 3ghz any more without setting back to 4-4-4-8 TRRD=4. Not sure if it was the board being quirky or the CPU getting to hot or what. I'll figure it out tomorrow I guess.
3050mhz = insta BSOD when running 1m :( Maybe with 1.7v+ I can get it. Loading around 45-47c now. This mount doesn't work all that well. Jason is hooking me up with an AM2 hold down plate for the mousepot so hopefully dice action by the end of next week.

I assume everyone knows what this is for? :D Many thanks Jason! DIce will fly on wednesday if all goes well.

Guess ghettotek AM2 mount V1.0 doesn't work to well... Mounting mousepot.
Looks more like an uneven IHS to me. :)
Not sure what I did to my camera but I think I messed the flash settings up. Sorry about the bad pics but I decided to remount the SPP and MCP coolers with ceramique. If anyone was wondering why some reviewes got stuck at 240 htt and 280 htt (hardocp and bit tech) heres a likely cause:

Note how there is hardly ANY contact on the MCP. This stuff was like old bubble gum and was a nightmare to get off.
nice work AFI, nice heads up on the heatsinks. i am so close to moving over to the foxconn i can taste it.
and im with funkflix, time to lap that IHS

Looks like I got a bit of a problem... Can't fit the insulation donut :( I wonder if the black ram slots clock as well as the blue. If they don't I'll have to find a new way to insulate.
good luck to find a solution. cant wait to see some dice results on am2 :toast:

Popped the IHS. Not sure if it sits lower than socket cam or what but mousepot will mount fine.
Use some 3/8-1/2 inch for the bottom piece insulation. I was still able to use the blue slots and have tiny gap for air flow that way. No probs for me with with frost or condesation @-45c anyways. The bubble gum tim is trash :).Quote:

Hope the back insulation works. Trying to get away without needing to use nail polish and sticky foam tape since I hate cleaning it off.
Pictures won't load for me.:(
Yeah evilsporks hosting dies every now and then. I need to get my own.
Did you use neoprene and lexan? Hard to tell from the pics, but great idea as long as there is enough insulation.
Nothing like cleaning up a board after using protective paint and nail polish... :p:
Yes it's a piece of 1/2" thick diving grade neoprene cut to fit around back plate, held down by 1/8" lexan. I'd rather have a 1/4" piece of lexan but all I had was this 1/8" piece.
I will be getting one of these in the near future along with a AMD AM2 X2 5000+ cpu.
AFI,
Did you ever run it under DI?
yeah mate, did you do any runs? also, have you found a spot to measure vcore on the C51? i found vdimm and various other voltage reading spots but nothing i can reach outside my ghetto waterblock rig is giving me a vcore reading.
It's been 90F+ with 50% humidity for the past week so I haven't run. It's nice today but I have a cod2 match tonight and when you're playing for money you need to take it seriously, so no time to dice. Tomorrow if the weather holds.
Where's the VDIMM read point? I've been afraid to look since my hand isn't steady.
here is a photo with the two readings that i have found. the black writing is what is set in BIOS/nTune. the red reading from the leg is bang on with whatever is set. the green point is the leg on the hidden side and this is
higher than what is set but scales with vdimm voltage.

maybe i should move this photo over to your MB vmod thread and get this stuff figured out.
