every 975X supports Crossfire. Atis new Chipset RD600 does as well. the 965 has 2 * x16, but one is only 4x mechanically, so no CF on 965.Quote:

Thanks,

I'll take "THE FATAL1TY" because it's got NO usefull slots.  :slap:

Lovely Wendie99
I think it's one of the worst mobo layouts i've ever seen... :p:Quote:

Ouch, with the comments I took a closer look at those boards, you guys are right, so much for neat looking cases when your Optical drive cables reach across the Mobo :/
From Bit Tech
Intel's eagerly anticipcated Conroe processor may not launch until September if the talk of the town proves to be true. We have heard many suggestions about when Intel will launch its Core 2 Duo processors, but none of the suggested dates seemed to make sense to us. The only time frame that has been officially confirmed by Intel is when it expects to ship to its OEM customers. This is expected to happen in July, but the date is not set in stone. At the same time, the company stated that it wanted to make sure its customers had ample time to build high quality machines in readiness for launch. This seems to back up what we've heard on the show floor. If Intel was to ship its products to system integrators at the end of July, it would give them over a month to make sure that they were happy with, and ready to ship, Core 2 Duo-based systems as soon as Intel waves the green flag. July also seems too soon for other chipset providers, too. This is because - apart from the reference designs - we have not seen a single motherboard design based on either ATI's RD600 / SB600 combination, or NVIDIA's nForce 590 SLI Intel Edition.
Eh? Intel is going to hold Conroe back from retail market because competitors don't have their boards ready? Poor Intel would have to sell Conroe while only boards with their own chipsets support it?Quote:

That Gigabyte board looks great. I know there is not much space around the socket, but 12 phase power and solid caps is a nice feature!

definitely my board :woot:
OMG, that board is looking so damn good.
Only the bios battery seems a bit mislocated when useing CF.
More and more board are showing up (duh) and the choice is geting harder and harder. Lets show some reviews now!
Only one PCI slot ... no thanks :nono: :nono: :nono:Quote:

I'm still using a PCI soundcard, and I imagine a lot of people are still using X-Fis, etc... so why do they do it?
The Stilt, you say that the Asus P5W DH Deluxe will be the overclockers board, but how about the new P5WD2-E Premium, the new revision with Core 2 Duo support and an 8 phase power :) It's in this thread :) AndreYang posted it :)
yeah, for sure ;) why should Ati not support their own Multi-GPU technology? :D they got 48 (?) PCIe Lanes in their RD600 and they want to introduce the third x16 Slot on their Mobos (Crossfire + one for Ati Physics)Quote:
