Let's hope some of those mATX boards are actually good!
Really? Why?Quote:

FYI. Intel Core Logics for Intel CPUs, that's the #1 rule in the 10 commandments. VIA, SiS and nVidia......care to do little history before you come up with a dumba$$ statement like that.Quote:

Everybody talks about 975 chipset, but I'm waiting for Asus P5B... I hope that 965 will be a good "low" price chipset... :woot: :)
I'm going to be a bit cautious of first release conroe mobos, maybe I'll wait for second or even third revisions. By that time they should have found there way down here to the bottom of the world in OZ. :)

Epox Unveils 945P Based "Conroe" Motherboard...
i had some bad exp with epox nforce boards with exploding mosfets though
/edit
@skyline, my bad, thought it was a novelty, an 945 conroe board; it could be expected it wouldn't be a novelty around these parts :p
Well some 975X board have been here for a while and will have new revision for Conroe... so no need to wait when the only difference is some electric parts and bios.Quote:

whats the best overclocking board?? DFI??
and no, 965 wont support Crossfire unlike 975, probably because its no high end
That's hard to tell at this moment. Some 975X sure will OC very good, but ATi's RD600 looks very nice too. Even Fugger says that ;)
@ g.l.amour, that board was already added, but thx anyway :)
Yoti posted this in the other conroe board thread:

is there any motherboard who can ride 450mhz speed?I know for "bad axe".Others?Asus p5bdeluxe can get only 400mhz..:(
There is something I just don't like about the layout, and it looks cheap to :s And which idiot put the powerconnectors at that place :stick:
Noob alert! :fact:Quote:

they are not in the way to anything important.
One thing odd to me with this motherboard : lack of cooler on southbridge.(or it's so small i cannot see :D)
I was planning to get the Intel 975 Badaxe board for conroe but the asus P5B Deluxe looks interesting. I have what is perhaps a really dumb question about the 965 chipset however. Whats the deal with IDE? Is it supported or not? Are some boards gonna tack one on for DVD drives and some not? Or are we all gonna have to invest in SATA optical drives?
that is more and more reality. You will get one pri-ide and two eide(ata2).Other conectors are sata1 or sata2.(Asus p5wd2).Quote:

Or you can use one of these and keep your old DVD drive.

i have been thru a lot of reviews. i have yet to read a review were one of these works with a dvd-r/rw. Im not going to spend $20 from newegg to have it not work and then refund money back. Then im out shipping to them plus restocking fees. Till i see a hard review from in ocf/xs/ect im not getting one. I would rather lose a pci slot and keep my pioneer dvd-r/rw.Quote:
