I'm having the same trouble... just not at the same levels... my 8rda+ is prime stable in DC @206... but will only 3d @195... I've been playing with the agp voltage to see if that helps... it has some so far.
I'm talking AGP voltage.Quote:

i believe future bios updates will improve on thisQuote:

yea we can only hope so.
Bios update can change the voltage max?I thought that was only possible from the actually mobo(phyiscal)?
Thanks
It all depends on the mobo's voltage regulation...Seeing a max VDD of 1.7v on the Abit am not sure there is much margin (besides modding and taking the risk)...The latest Epox 8rga+ allows 2.0v max VDD in bios - that's also because the voltage regulation has been redone/improved on that latest mobo...I don't know jack - just speculating...Quote:

O , k , thanks , by the way what does vdd mean ?
Thanks
Wooo Hoooo.....a happy update indeed this time:D
I was so impressed with my ability to hit a Prime stable FSB of 225mhz right off the bat with my uncut XP 2700 that I dismissed the need to try cutting the 3rd L12 bridge. Well...after being at wit's end trying to get 3D Apps to run I finally did try cutting the bridge...and BAM....all is good with the world:D:D!
3Dmark runs up to 220 dual channel with 8,4,4 2.5T mem timings. Haven't even tried single channel yet....so there is indeed more room to go. Here's a 3D at 212, dual channel, with somewhat aggressive mem timings of 6,2,2 2T (don;t mind the crappy score...no tweaks and no vid card OC at all):

Some 100% stable memory bandwidth (looped 3d for an hour):
http://www.liquidninjas.com/mdzcpa/r...F7/mem3348.JPG
And my best stable OC so far on the board. Can run prime and 3d here:

Surely nothing earth shattering here....but not bad for an unmodded board. And I really haven't had time to push it since cutting the bridge.
So...keep a note on this...you still need to do the L12 bridge even on the new 1.2 NF7
And thanks to all for suggestions:)
Aside from the need to cut the bridges on the 333mhz CPUs (which seems to effect all NF2 mobos), I give the new NF7 a whole lotta thumbs up. It is, by far, my new fav board:)
Sorry for the delay guys...been busting on this board.Quote:

btw mdzcpa, In your opinion, whats the best BIOS for the kd7-e?
I do not think the temp is coming from the diode...it moves way to slowly when coming under, or off of, load. It moves slow just like the socket themistors used too.
And, BTW, the C8 is still the best BIOS for the KD7-E without a doubt:)
Beleive it or not I have not had to do that yet to get 3D to run at 220mhz. but as I move things up to the edge I'll surely being giving this a try. Thanks for the tip :)Quote:

Vdimm 2.9v (but it over volts nicely up to 2.98v :) )
K , Thanks:D
If anyone in Canada finds an etailer to order this from pls let me know :)
And this might sound like a silly question but just making sure, I have an xp2100 just sitting here on my desk waiting for it's new Abit rev 1.2 home, I know that with 2600 with the 333fsb and higher cpu's you need to cut the 3rd L3 bridge to change the cpu to default to 266mhz in order to overclock to a higher front side bus etc. My question is with the 2100 cpu or any cpu that uses 133/266 mhz bus, is there any cutting involved to attain higher fsb speeds on the nforce boards?
Like I said, silly question that I probably already know the answer for, just trying to get confirmation. :)
Not a silly question at all:) And the answer is nope.....no cutting on the 266 bus CPUs needed.Quote:

BTW, it's the 3rd L12 bridge:) (just so we don't leave some mis information hanging in the thread:) )
good stuff mdzcpa.
have u tried the 2100+ yet? im gonna get this board when i have the money next week and theres a place thats selling it, might be tricky. ;) anyone know if theres a non s verison of the NF7 1.2?
Now im relieved!! Im getting this board next week hopefully, but i think i will keep my KD7-E too as it is a great mobo :)
Thumbs up Mike :)

do you have a 266bus CPU to try it out on this board?
(would like to know the results heh;))
btw mdzcpa, did this work for you?Quote:
I can hardly wait to get my hands on that board:slobber: :slobber:
gonna keep moding and switching until I hit 240mhz FSB on that thing...If I dont its not Abit:p
Same here, but it looks like I'm gonna have to - up to 1 MONTH before these arrive in the UK I've been told. :(Quote:

Great work there mdzcpa, really appreciate the updates. Even if it is driving me mad knowing I can't have one. :D

Can you explain in what matter are some better some worse..I mean which are the ones to have?
I will get those 15CPU's this week and I think that will make one hell of a test in the same rig with the same cooling...
But the problem is all of those 15 will surely be alsmot the same...the same die I think.
Another possitive is that they will be brand new and maybe even later as week 4.
no idea Malecky..
but it seems like you've got a nice 0304 ;)
Not so, go look here..Quote:
