My friend got his Stang up to 145 that day, we were actually racing. I ate him though, that Vette pulled so hard in 3rd gear he had no chance;)
Damm that sucks the dude that died
Me and my dad
done like 200Km/h+ in a BMW 735i thats when these cars just came out the old BMW with rounded lights i think year around 96-97
After that we got the Mercedes-Benz S500/S420 we didnt know if it had a 420 or 500 engine since they are both V8 and look same. 2 of them came to my dads office one had no passport for it what so ever that like year 1997 i think when they just came out.
We done 230Km/h in that one i live in Russia Moscow by the way..
We had a number plate on it "04 01 MOL" these number plates only for politicians but with a bit if you have contacts and money you can get all sort of number plates. This allowed us to do what ever we wont on the roads that was phun. Now though cops know that ppl buy this type of stuff like you can pay $25,000 per year to have sirens on top of your car again gives you ability to do what ever u wont in the road..
Then after this merc we got Merc SL500 restlyed with the white indicators.. that was worst then the old merc it used to brake for my dad from time to time. We only done like 200KM/h on this one
Im into cars a lot :D i have to stop my self from writing all of the cars my dad had..
Now he is quite old 51 doesnt drive as fast as he used too..
But still if we are going fishing
our Toyota Land Cruiser 4.7 V8 can do 195Km/h this is the second one the new restyled one cause the old one was half dead cause we go off roading a lot so chassis wasnt feeling to good there..
cool thread some of you guys drive like crazy :D
ohh yeah we used ot have all sort of sports bikes now my dad is over this stage LOL but his last bike was Yamaha R1 he done 260Km/h on it and sold it next day... too risky on russian roads..
I topped out at 100 mph in my '90 toyota pickup. thing has 150k miles on, leaking brake fluid on a crapping braking system (all of the brakestands i've done makes my truck harder to stop then stoping a semi), and probably tons of other problems that i'm not aware of, but it still halls some ass for short distances. used to be able to beat all of my friends until one of them go a mazdaaspeed ricer.
this was done on a windy road where every week someone dies either from drunk driving or falling asleep at the wheel... the shaking my truck was doing kept me wide awake!!
This summer i did 180kph in a mazda 626, the car is old and pretty broken! When i did this i had my driving licence for only three days! The day later i did 120kph in town in a curve, i was scared after this and i mounted at 140kph a big slope. All this was in lebanon, no cops whatsoever on the street so you can do what you want on the road, i didn't have much time to enjoy it cause i had the licence there at the end of my vacation. Now i'm back in france and i got my french driving licence twso days ago :) Now the cops are pretty strict on the speed limit and they can take your driving licence if you break speed limit (pretty scary). However my dad drives at max at 200kph in his audi A4 (neat car btw) and average 170kph (on highway of course)
i had 17 points off my license, and my bike impounded 4 times. i had my speedo at 187mph so maybe 175ish mph actual. very not stock bike
105mph in a 1.2 litre 1990 vauxhall nova....rock on!!!
(downhill, tail wind, sails out full!)
Hate to see you in the rear view!!!!! Damn fastQuote:

my insane speed :
1992 dodge stealth ES 154 mph. Only mods are a Chip, exaust, and a k&n filter. normally run 80 or so to work....
Many, many moons ago, 153 MPH on a ZX10 while heading back to Fresno from the lake. In my crazy biker days, I would hit 100 every day on the way to work at the local Bimmer dealership, weather permitting of course. Ah, the 80s, those were the days. ;)
Germany: 215KM/H (Alfa Romeo 166 2.4JTD)
Snogard was pretty close with open road :D
Belgium: 203KM/H (Audi TT)
225KM/H (Alfa Romeo 166 3.0 V6 Super)
250+KM/H (BMW M3)
280+KM/H (SL55 AMG)
All, but the Merc test drive were at night, most in the Frenchie part of Belgium ;)
I am on temp licence, but I find driving fast on open freeways / deserted roads safer than those 18y.o. Schumacher wannabees close to a school... Offcourse, I would never speed, that'd cost me my licence :D
225KM/h the other day on a Opel Vectra GTS 2.2DTI... diesel power! :D
Were brothers, I just picked up a GPZ1100 3 months ago with 3100 miles on it.!!!!Quote:
180 on a GPZ 1100. After 180 the front wheel starts to come up.
100MPH on the highway, the car starts to shake any faster then that.
I got off roading every morning rain or shine, I can see my house from work, but I got to go a long way around if I take the streets the whole time, that and nothing beats pulling out onto 3 lans with mud on the tires and sliding all the way around.
115mph from one end of Sheffield Arena carpark to the other in a 15 tonne truck half loaded with PA Gear... but only to avoid the truck rolling backhill towards me... not bad seeing as I don't have a license and don't normally drive... I was just lucky enough to be trying to get some sleep in the cab at the time when I heard a load of horns blaring...
ctgilles that's soem nice car you've drive, the sl55 is one of my fav car (let alone the fact that the one you drove is an amg!)
ps i don't understand your story about the license
Since I am no 18 (still a couple of months) I do not have my real license, only a temporary one with restrictions (driving without passengers, driving BEFORE 22h, etc...)
At home, we only have an Audi TT and the Alfa Romeo 166 JTD, friends of us have a BMW M3, friends of mine a Subaru Impreza WRX STI.
Friend of my parents works at Merc Belgium, hence why I'm always testing the newest AMG :D
Man, the E55 AMG is the ultimate car for LANs :slobber: big and faast :D
Damn ctgilles you're not 18 yet and you've drove those car and at those speed, it's unbelievable (stop playing Gran tourismo :D)
are the highways in belgium limited (like france) or free (like germany)? I think i'm gonna make a trip in germany and belgium one of this days :D
130mph
Sadly enough, the fastest I've ever gone is about 90mph (uphill, my dad in the passenger seat) in my 67 mustang. My dad has got it up to at least 120mph though, maybe more but unsure because 120mph is the speedometer's limit. I need to upgrade to disc brakes before I'll even consider going faster. Trying to stop with 36 year old drum brakes is NOT fun when you're going 90mph.
A real cheap disc break upgrade for a 67/68 is go to a boneyardQuote:

look for a ford granada with disc brakes, take the front spindles & all. the spindles are a direct replacment no modding other then lines plus the pitman arm is a little longer so you get quicker stearing responce as a bonus. while you're there look for a 65/66
stang take the rearend. its a direct swap no mods. you'll have about 2" more tire room. :D i'v owned more mustangs then any other Vampire.
