i just ran my 3000 winchester at 1.8vcore with no hsf for more than 15 seconds. went into bios and looked around a bit. the ihs helps.

i have a bunch of bga sinks.. im gunna sink up my winchester and see what it can do! hahahhah

its an AWFUL chip for overclocking(2.7gig on phase change) i bet BGA sinks and a fan on those will get me stock speed hahhahaha

This is quite insane misteroadster! It really goes to show that you can have a good powered passive cooling rig if you know what you're doing!

As I said before--you should consider using this method to test different BGA sinks!

See how high you can make it go while using your finger as a heatsink! ;) :D

in the video you have it at 1.8ghz with the bga ramsink and fan.. pretty amazing if u ask me.

Yeah....imagine how much AMD could cut down costs if they only had to include a BGA sink! :p:

I'm going to have to soon when I get a Storm block in the coming weeks and leak test it....don't have any way to cool my CPU if I'm leak testing my CPU block!

humm ; i've a 4400+ it runs cool , it's an E6 , at 1.7v in full, aircooled i had 49°, so i think its possible, it can dissipate more than 2X compared to a 3000+ venice without IHS.

For the 146 i think it's not possible because they runs really hot at low vcore (Cabne) but i saw some Cabge running cold with high vcore.

those 146's run REALLY hot.(the cabne at least)
